Program Manager - Release Readiness
As part of the Product Delivery organization, the Program Manager will partner with stakeholders at all levels to deliver industry leading HR solutions that are aligned with the strategic vision and goals of PrismHR. The Program Manager will participate in release related activities to ensure release milestones and software delivery processes are met across teams.
SPECIFIC DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own the definition-through-delivery software release process for multiple parallel and integrated software product streams, which take the form of bi-weekly maintenance releases, quarterly feature releases and “out of cycle,” urgent critical hotfixes.
Lead release milestone “Go / No Go” readiness reviews with the product delivery teams and key stakeholders. Minimize surprises through advanced communications and developing strong partnerships with release team constituents.
Provide project management, direction, and leadership to team members in order to accomplish defined project deliverables. Manages all project deliverables to successful completion, leveraging project management and Agile best practices.
Lead Scrum teams as a Scrum Master.
Provide risk assessments for project activities and develops proposed solutions
Regularly assess current business practices and makes recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness (Process Improvement).
Report on project success criteria results and metrics.
Participate in program management projects as needed.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
6-8+ years in a software project management, program management and/or software release coordination role at cloud and/or SaaS companies. Prior experience in a technical discipline preferred.
Strong experience managing Agile Scrum and/or Kanban projects as a Scrum Master
Strong experience influencing, gaining buy-in, and partnering with all levels of the organization, from senior management to peers
Proven ability to work independently, handle multiple projects under deadlines, and effectively set priorities between projects
Strong judgment skills with the ability to assess the quality and accuracy of projects and project timelines
Highly organized with strong problem solving skills
Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal, presentation, written, email)
Experience with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence preferred. Jira Admin a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience
Any of the following certifications are definite pluses: Scrum Master, ITIL, PMP
