Magento Account Manager
Trellis is looking for a Magento Solutions Consultant to join our growing team. This individual is knowledgeable, creative and engaging with 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, client services, and/or technology. This is a mid-level position that allows you an opportunity to grow an existing client base while also serving as a thought leader for the agency.

Position Responsibilities
Although the specific responsibilities will evolve as the candidate gains experience, we’re looking for someone capable of the following:
Project Scoping
The majority of sales-related communications will sit with the sales team but Magento Solutions Consultants will assist the sales team in scoping out new projects.
Project Estimating
Magento Solutions Consultants will assist the sales team with estimating projects.
Client Onboarding
Magento Solutions Consultants will facilitate the initial onboarding of new clients and serve as a ‘bridge’ between the sales team and the delivery/maintenance team.
Discovery Management
Magento Solutions Consultants will perform all Discovery-related activities for new clients, including drafting and presenting a Project Plan.
Client Communications
Throughout our relationship with the client, Magento Solutions Consultants will lead the communications and presentations of key deliverables, proposals, and initiatives while Project Managers handle day-to-day communications.
Client Success
Magento Solutions Consultants are responsible for driving client success and satisfaction, measured in both the growth of the relationship, the overall impact of any recommended strategies and initiatives.
Account Reporting
Magento Solutions Consultants will track the impact that our services have on client-specific KPIs such as conversion rate lift, revenue lift, decrease in COCA, etc.
Roadmap Management
Magento Solutions Consultants will manage the strategic Roadmap of their clients on a regular basis, identify new opportunities for projects and initiatives.
Upselling Management
As an extension of Roadmap Management, Magento Solutions Consultants will propose new projects and initiatives to clients, taking the lead on any associated sales activities for existing clients.
Escalation Management
Magento Solutions Consultants will serve as an added layer above Project Managers when it comes to escalation management and addressing any overall concerns in our client relationships.
Thought Leadership
Magento Solutions Consultant will support the client in the development of the continued build-out of our Ecommerce Customer Lifecycle process which we provide as the roadmap for the strategic growth of all clients. Serving as a liaison to distill content and strategy from internal departments including (but not limited to) project management, sales, and client marketing.
Experience
While we’re interested in candidates with a varied background, we’re generally seeking those that can come to the role with the following experience:
Technical Experience
Given our focus on technology, experience in a variety of platforms is essential to success in this role. Most notable technologies include:
- Experience with Magento and a strong understanding of how the admin panel functionality works and what popular extensions can be used
- Magento Solutions Certification is highly preferred
- Understanding of how the development process works and the steps to implement a new website and what is involved in ongoing maintenance
- Maintains a working knowledge of the e-commerce industry and relevant brands, services, vendors, and trends.
- Understanding of modern web design and development best practices, including familiarity with headless architecture
- Experience with Jira/Confluence and/or other major project management tools
Industry Experience
This role requires someone to immediately assert themselves into a client-facing position and generally requires a background in the following:
- 5+ years of experience in client-facing digital project management
- 5+ years of experience in e-commerce
- 3+ years of experience in managing teams of at least 5 people
- 3+ years of experience in an autonomous, decision-making role
- Experience in both B2B and B2C is preferred
- 1+ years experience working with Jira, Confluence, and G-Suite Tools (or similar tools)
Education and Certifications
While the candidate’s educational background is not a strict requirement, we generally expect the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Masters preferred)
- Jira certification within 3 months
- Platform-specific (i.e. Magento or Shopify) admin certification within 6 months
