LearnLaunch is an education innovation hub which connects and supports innovators to expand access to high-quality education for all learners. Overview
During the 2019 – 2020 school year, LearnLaunch is looking to create internship opportunities for two students who are interested in completing strategic projects for LearnLaunch. Selected students will work with the supervisor to refine possible projects, develop deliverables, conduct necessary analysis, prepare recommendations for review, and execute on project implementation. At the end of the internship, interns will present either a portfolio of their work or a presentation about their experience. We do ask that students be interested in participating in the development and execution of the LearnLaunch Across Boundaries conference, happening January 30 – January 31, 2020.

Supervisor
Interns will report to Nat Seelen, Executive Producer & Director of Marketing.

Work Week
10-12 hours/week, during regular work hours. Work hours are generally 9:00am – 5:30pm. Occasionally, events may extend into the early evening or over the weekend.

Duration
Fall 2019 – February 2020. Exact start and end dates are flexible, but you should be available roughly from the beginning of the fall semester through the completion of LearnLaunch Across Boundaries Conference on January 31, 2020.

This positions is not financially compensated.

Project Specifics
Help create New England’s preeminent education technology conference

LearnLaunch is seeking a bright and passionate individual who is interested in learning more about convening stakeholders and building community in the education technology sector. This position is designed for someone who is proactive, enjoys writing and outreach, is always willing to lend a helping hand, and has a flair for managing long-term projects. At the conclusion of this internship, the individual will present the portfolio of the work they have created to be delivered to the entire LearnLaunch staff.

What you’ll do

  • Draft and distribute communications materials that engage conference sponsors, keynote speakers, session speakers, panelists, LearnLaunch advisory board members, edtech stakeholders, and affiliated LearnLaunch partners
  • Coordinate phone-calls with LearnLaunch conference speakers to advance conference program 
  • Draft marketing materials specific to partner stakeholder groups for the conference – students, educators, administrators, school committees, investors, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit/industry professionals
  • Manage and resolve requests and inquiries from LearnLaunch 2020 prospective attendees, conference registrants, and conference exhibitors
  • Manage frequent updates the the LearnLaunch2020 website as program developments are received
