Objectives of this role
Beyond shipping new web and mobile infrastructure features on a regular cadence, you embrace value over velocity and strive to create great tools and services for customers, internal and external.
Daily and monthly responsibilities
Team Manager responsible for coaching and development of all members of aligned shared services agile team
Works with the Digital Experience Product Teams, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to understand future infrastructure and release needs for product teams
Works across the organization and with stakeholders to resolve/communicate key issues, critical decisions, and priorities
Ensure the organization initiatives are aligned with strategy to deliver business value
Analyze the feasibility of, and develop requirements to support existing infrastructure platforms and create new digital infrastructure capabilities
Involved in planning and supporting business process to identify go to market strategies for new products and services
Help define and drive architecture concepts and patterns partnering with Tech Leads and Digital Leads on technical specifications derived from business objectives
Owns and drives release management and audit functions across entire organization
Help define and execute new business concepts in emerging platforms including but not limited to artificial intelligence and voice applications
Conduct competitive and market analysis and is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace
Maintains and stewards overall infrastructure strategy. Develop corresponding program plans and roadmaps to support current and future product delivery of product teams.
Skills and qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and appropriately handle sensitive information
Agile/Kanban experience specifically in Story/Acceptance criteria development
Extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business priorities and a strong work ethic
Endlessly curious in how emerging digital trends can translate into excellent customer experiences
Excellent technical and problem solving skills and has previous experience taking complex issues and breaking them down into solvable problems
Data-driven mindset, using quantitative tools and analyzing unstructured feedback to inform design.
Minimum 2 years of experience leading an infrastructure or engineering team (web or mobile)
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business or a related field
+7 years or more experience working on infrastructure or engineering teams
+3 years or more experience either leading or executing a web and mobile architecture practice
+3 years or more experience leading a shared services team
+3 years or more experience with cloud based technology such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
+2 year or more experience with CDN’s, Web Application Firewalls, Bot Management Protection, Single Sign On patterns, Content Management Systems (CMS), Redirects, & Rewrites
+2 years or more experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
+2 years or more experience with application logging systems
+2 years with release management techniques and practices (CI / CD)
+2 years of project management and audit experience
Experience collaborating with a team of programmers with varying skill sets.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a rapid and iterative development environment.
Experience delivering mobile apps and app store ecosystems.
