The Boundary Specialist role requires an aptitude for GIS software, tools, and general people skills. The Boundary Specialist will organize and edit boundary data and upload that data into our database. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate and assist all related personnel in accomplishing company goals as it relates to boundary data correction and cleaning. This includes working with Indigo Ag staff, agronomists, technical service reps, and grower customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish general knowledge about current customers, geographies, and crops
  • Utilize tools/platform software for boundary correction and upload; correct and clean boundary dataset
  • Process all boundary correction needs; document boundary correction process
  • Autonomously edit and upload boundaries

Competencies:

  • ESRI or QGIS proficiency strongly preferred
  • Experience with office tools, ability to upload data to databases and QC and manipulate messy data
  • Multi-tasker, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative, with good people, communication, and organizational skills
  • Computer, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer focus and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Detail-orientated
  • Friendly, receptive to suggestions
  • Ability to learn new skills
  • Patient with correcting massive datasets
  • Hunger to achieve goals set by team leader

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of tech, GIS, or industry experience
  • Experience with agriculture is a plus
  • AS, BS or BA in GIS, technology, or environmental science or in the process of getting degree

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
