As a result, the ideal candidate will be able to master resource competencies, manage customer, team and management expectations and drive results by leading without direct authority. In short, this is a significant role, which presents the opportunity to impact the growth and direction of the organization.

Proven ability to manage high volume of activity effectively in a matrix resource environment – you get stuff done
You like to look at things from a lot of different angles and come up with great solutions – never settling for “the path of less resistance”
You consider Excel and PowerPoint old friends, not enemies
Experience with CRM Systems (NetSuite, a plus but not required)
Fundamental understanding of project management methodology
Strong communication skills and team-driven focus is essential as this team member will be expected to act independently, as well as collaboratively, with customers, peers, partners, and managers to ensure customer satisfaction and team goal achievement
Job Plusses:
Project Management Professional (PMP) and / or ongoing affiliation with the Project Management Institute (PMI)
Experience working in a services organization within a software company

It is not essential for candidates to have experience in the security industry but would be great if they have an appreciation of the types of solutions we provide.

An Insider's view of Rapid7

What does your typical day look like?

For the majority of the day it’s a mix of weekly check-ins with various teams, project updates, and the occasional brainstorm.

When I’m not in meetings I’ve got headphones in while planning, writing, or designing — at my desk or perched somewhere around the office.

Grace

Senior Brand Storyteller

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Ive been on many teams in my time at Rapid7 and they have certainly “grown” from a size perspective, but more importantly, they all evolved with the changing times and needs. Some of the teams I was on were critical for our sales grown in an emerging market and though they no longer exist by name, I can see the tangible impact we made.
