EnerNOC, a leading provider of demand response and energy intelligence software, is looking for interns to join our world-class Operations Team. This full time paid internship will run from January to June.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of demand response and/or financial operations. They will support business transactions, process improvements, reporting, analytics, and train team members on tools and processes. This individual must possess excellent attention to detail, an ability to consistently execute business critical operations, strong problem solving capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a flexible, fast-paced, team environment under time-critical situations.

About the Job:

  • Support the enrollment and settlement activity with our utility partners and various grid operators
  • Assist in the creation of processes and tools to increase productivity, efficiency, and/or quality
  • Develop, implement, and/or sustain cross-team process improvement work, primarily with Finance, Operations, IT, and Sales
  • Fulfill ad hoc analysis requests to support the Energy Markets Team
  • Coordinate with the Dispatch Operations Team as needed to facilitate successful event execution

About You:

  • Excellent computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage high-throughput transactional activity effectively, while also developing efficiency gains through process improvement and automation
  • Highly motivated and able to work in a fast paced environment, with a strong desire to learn
  • Self-starter with ability to identify important tasks and develop processes for completion
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative problem solving capability
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Above and Beyond:

  • Demonstrated interest in energy sector
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Familiarity with programming (R, VBA, etc.)
  • Experience in energy management, financial operations, or Lean environments
  • Experience with SalesForce.com, CRM systems, or object-oriented databases
