WHOOP is seeking a Senior Vice President of Product to deliver business outcomes through software development and innovation. In this executive position, you will lead software product management, design, and product ops functions spanning verticals of consumer, growth, and enterprise. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will partner closely with other senior leaders across the company to craft and execute an ambitious product strategy, delivering on aggressive business targets while staying true to the company vision. You will rapidly scale the organization and amplify impact via development processes that have been specially constructed to tap into the unique strengths and values of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with CPO and CEO on product vision and long term retention
- Work with your direct reports to develop a long-term product strategy to hit business objectives and deliver novel experiences maximizing the value of a WHOOP membership and extending competitive differentiation
- Develop and maintain a suite of product roadmaps that collectively lay out a clear and achievable plan for executing the product strategy and meeting or surpassing quantitative goals
- Maintain a balance of new feature development, existing product improvements, quality, simplicity, and extensibility
- Ensure a robust innovation and development process from conceptualization through release, including utilization of research and analytics, customer input, and executive guidance
- Continuously accelerate delivery and release cadence through iteration and finely tuned product operations
- Manage a large and growing product management and design organization, hire A+ performers at all levels, groom emerging leaders, provide 1:1 coaching, and organize the team for maximum effectiveness
- Earn ever-increasing autonomy for yourself and your team by building a strong reputation across the company for excellence and accountability
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15+ years working in fast-paced technology companies; 10+ years leading product and design teams with several dozen employees or more
- Recent experience in an established and well-regarded B2C technology company; strong design sensibility and awareness of best practices in UX design methodology
- Hands-on experience building upon solid product-market fit to scale at a hyper-growth pace
- Experience managing hybrid (colocated and remote) agile teams using a proven set of best practices for collaboration and productivity
- Very strong analytical skills, understanding of complex business metrics, financial modeling, statistics, and machine learning algorithms
- Sufficient technical knowledge to meaningfully contribute to discussions about M&A options, vendor selection, data management issues, scaling issues, and APIs; familiarity with BLE, firmware, etc.
- Strong communication applicable to a variety of audiences and across every medium; ability to quickly get to the heart of debates and successfully influence decisions
- Willingness to lead without applying dogmatic practices or frameworks, demonstrating humility, being willing to listen and collaborate, and being adaptive as circumstances change
- Highly entrepreneurial; ability to motivate others to reach stretch goals despite obstacles
- Passion for the fitness and wellness space; true belief in the WHOOP mission to unlock human performance
- Strong educational background in a quantitative or scientific field highly preferred
