Responsibilities:

  • Partner with field trial teams and Indigo Research Partners to identify trial coordinators and other key partners to drive forward organic research
  • Design an organized field trial program in coordination with R&D and Indigo Research Partners, vet throughout the organization, and launch for spring 2020 trials
  • Learn existing product development pipeline and identify potential gaps or synergies to drive products positioned for the specialty market
  • Understand all current data and be able to identify and drive product pipeline to deliver on organic specific supporting data
  • Build a detailed business case for all organic products in the pipeline
  • Prioritize organic and specialty crop opportunities as they fit within current roadmap
  • Understand current product roadmap and prioritize opportunities for expansion
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Regulatory to identify seed treatment partners and outline specialized protocols related to providing our treatment to specialty growers
  • Builds a comprehensive organic seed partner roadmap/database across all key crops
  • Understands organic landscape within Indigo Marketplace and prioritize opportunities for expansion

  • Understands crop cycles (e.g. decision timeline and farm requirements)
  • Comfortable with ambiguity – comfortable making decisions from incomplete data sets
  • Strong technical skills and exceptional soft skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive mindset; thinks ahead for new opportunities
  • Able to work with a broad range of stakeholders across various seniority levels and functions
  • Able to drive project teams to deliver on specific outcomes

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years’ experience in the food or agriculture industry
  • B.S. or M.S. in Agronomy, Crop Science, Food Science, or related field
  • Demonstrated product launch experience, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Experience managing cross functional teams across projects
  • Knowledge of organic grain and seed requirements in the US. Existing relationships with organic producers/buyers and/or food systems a plus.
  • Working knowledge of regenerative agriculture practices
  • Experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau)

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
