We are embarking on a journey to leverage this wealth of data as the cornerstone of our next phase of growth. We are looking for a highly motivated Product Manager to join our Data Technology team to drive the development of a next-generation data platform. By developing a green-fields data science / MLOps platform and investing in data architecture and governance, we have big ideas around re-inventing the catering buying experience, search and recommendations, and ushering in a new era of Business Intelligence. The ideal candidate is one with a strong business mind for where to apply our massive data corpus to solve impactful business problems across the Demand, Supply, Support, and Fulfillment domains. A background in data science (or data products) and general creativity will be key to answering questions like “What’s the best side dish for pizza?” or “Do we have enough Greek restaurants in Austin?” You are a collaborator who can work with executive stakeholders to understand what questions they need answered to monitor and optimize their business lines while driving incremental value, and a pragmatist to prioritize effectively across a wide variety of opportunities. You are an innovator who understands how to drive concepts from requirements to implementation to measurement and rollout.


What you’ll do:

-Lead product development initiatives with data science, engineering and product dev teams for the entire development lifecycle.

-Lead cross-functional teams, serving as both product and project manager, to define product specifications, establish milestones, and direct the development, implementation, and evolution of new features.

-Develop written requirements, define success metrics and associated use-cases for new projects, shepherding projects from ideation to test results analysis and iteration.

-Partner with business and analytics stakeholders to research, troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions to increasingly complex business or technical problems.

-Assist in prioritizing enhancements and bug fixes, while identifying thematic issues that can be solved with technology improvements.


You have:

-3+ years of digital product management experience, preferably in data science and web platform products.

-A strong understanding of software development practices and lifecycle, experience specific to the data space a plus.

-Proficient SQL knowledge to pull data independently and collaborate with the team. 

-Strong teamwork and collaboration skills and you're happy spending much of the day away from your desk connecting with team members in different functional areas.

-Strong problem solving, analytical, and decision making skills. You're also able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate effective action plans to resolve issues.

-Flexible and open to change and new information; is first to understand when team behaviors and work methods need to adapt to new information.

-A goal-oriented mindset and have a demonstrated record of success in previous endeavors; motivated to deliver exceptional results, driven by a strong work ethic.

-A sharp mind, a soft heart and a large funny bone.

-Experience with: Snowflake, DBT, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Sagemaker, Spark, etc. (Nice to have)
