As we continue to grow the GeoInnovation Product Team, we are looking for an experienced, innovative Product Manager who wants to work cross-functionally to lead our geo-centric products, both new & existing. As a product owner, you will work closely with users, designers, developers, and business stakeholders to improve adoption and drive complex new product features. This customer-facing product drives significant value for farmers, so your passion for user advocacy will have immediate impact. Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep understanding of existing and planned platform solution and capabilities
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to create and propose 90, 180 and 360-day product vision
  • Assume primary Product Ownership responsibilities (roadmap, user stories, prioritization, stakeholder buy-in)
  • Institute and execute stakeholder review meetings for product, establishing rapport as a thought partner
  • Work closely with entire Product Management team to ensure alignment across Product Development processes, particularly in high-volume situations
  • Mentor and coach less experienced Product Managers on product management and agile best practices
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify implementation options aligned with product requirements
  • Execute customer-driven culture in how we prioritize and allocate our Technology investment
  • Establish clear communications channels with stakeholders within the organization (CTO, CPO, Developers, Scientist, etc.) to provide visibility into product or product line decisions and process for decision-making

Competencies:

  • Able to balance customer-centricity, stakeholder expectations, and technical feasibility for software product, clearly articulating tradeoffs
  • Technical knowledge in the applicable domain, and the ability to partner with engineering teams to identify technical solutions to valuable business problems
  • Able to gain buy-in from stakeholders and drive product vision for a specific software product
  • Excellent communication skills; able to work with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to translate business needs and strategy into product roadmap and technology specifications and use cases
  • Process orientation with strong time-management skills and demonstrated flexibility
  • Ability to mentor less experienced team members
  • Passionate about “being the voice of the user”

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years product management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical fields preferred (Business, Econ, Math, Statistics, Engineering, etc)
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Familiarity with SQL/Python preferred, but not required
  • Experience with Heap Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and data visualization tools (Spotfire/Tableau) preferred, but not required
  • Strong knowledge of business & product analytics, with experience building & interpreting analytical dashboards or reports
  • Track record of building and delivering excellent customer-facing software products (ideally including mobile experience)
  • Experience working with software engineering teams in an agile environment
  • Experience in a fast-paced, growing work environment
  • Willing to travel occasionally as needed, up to 10% of the time
  • Proven success aligning various stakeholders and inspiring motivation across team

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
