What you'll do:
- Own the objectives of business projects / initiatives, successfully manage tech implementation and improvements to meet business goals on time and within budget
- Immensely independent in defining and managing roadmaps, prioritization and driving requirements, use cases and acceptance criteria
- You may be part of an individual project or a complex cross functional project or may have to work with multiple teams to deliver projects / initiatives
- You possess excellent ability to liaison / work with external vendors / contractors
- You have excellent understanding of design approaches and relevant technologies utilized in your project / initiative
- You have good networking abilities that allows you to connect with other tech teams or business teams and make sure right teams are part of the project conversation
- You have solid experience in detecting complex or risky designs and prevent risks associated with poor technology decisions
- You possess excellent ability to see the big picture while exhibiting eye for detail and ability to deep dive to unearth unknowns
- You spend time to understand the needs of engineering team (who build / maintain / enhance tech products)
- You help business and technology engineering teams make right trade-off’s while keeping the core project objectives or business goals intact
- You collaborate with software development managers to scope the effort, size the effort, set project priorities, define milestones of delivery and drive delivery
- You work with business to define success metrics and acceptance criteria’s, bring clarity where needed and ensure alignment with project goals
- To minimize risks to project delivery, you minimize disruptions, proactively mitigate risks and control project scope
- You are responsible for stakeholder communication which could be project specific or period specific (weekly, monthly, quarterly etc.)
- You exhibit clarity in communication, clearly communicating risks or blockers and the path to getting projects back on track where needed
- You may be tasked with post go live support plans, run retrospectives and or hold postmortems.
- You support hiring and interviewing processes as well as mentor and support development of team members
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of Technical or Product experience
- Technical savvy, including hands-on knowledge/skill of system integration, databases and business intelligence
- Agile experience (Scrum Master, Product Owner)
- Ability to perform business requirements analysis and design
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Capability to identify and mitigate development and implementation risks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Operations Management or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Position may require occasional travel
Bonus:
- Experience with Fulfillment Planning / Warehouse Management / Order Management Systems
- Exceptional team player skills, follows up with business team members, IT team members, and takes initiative to anticipate and solve problems
- Experience with CI/CD processes and releases management
