Senior Product Manager, VMware Carbon Black
The Organization
VMware’s Security Business Unit is responsible building intrinsic security solutions for the InfoSec Team (CISO, SOC, Security Architects, GRC)
Our mission is to drive security strategy (where we should compete, and how we should compete) to capture new profit pools in the security market. We leverage the Carbon Black security cloud to drive next-generation security products through advanced analytics and behavioral analysis by building/acquiring a new breed of security software for our customer’s modern data centers
This role is to lead our developer relations and ecosystem integrations strategy for VMware Carbon Black. This is a critical position within the business that directly contributes to satisfying our largest and most valued customers.

Senior Product Manager Responsibilities:
For this role as a Senior Product Manager on the Carbon Black Cloud, you will lead initiatives related to how customers interact with their most valuable resource, their data. Our largest customers use the Carbon Black UI, but also have dozens of other tools that ingest, analyze, and action security data. Whether it’s enabling the developer community with public APIs and SDKs, developing integrations with 3rd party security tools, or coming up with other new innovate ways to deliver data to our customers, your job will be to define how and where customers leverage our data across their security ecosystem. You will need to understand critical customer requirements and prioritize the strategic roadmap for these areas. Specifically:
Understand how customers leverage security data within their organizations (SOAR, SIEM, and XDR tools)
Understand how to measure, track, and optimize interaction with our data from thousands of customers and millions of endpoints.
Define the strategy, goals and roadmap to continue to innovate how we deliver data to our customers
Constantly interact with customers and the technical community to validate and socialize these capabilities and your roadmap
Understand the current market landscape. Will require analytical abilities to collect and report metrics and identify trends, issues, or other important information (qualitative and quantitative).
Participating in product planning and working with the development team to prioritize future features and releases
Engaging directly in a scaled agile development process
Supporting go-to-market and activation measurements for the cloud platform
Analyzing product personas and requirements to meet the needs of our core customers
At the end of the day, Product Managers are the CEOs of their products and are responsible for defining, prioritizing, planning and driving the execution of the vision for their product lines. They possess business insight as well as engineering wherewithal to be able to strategize, drive and bring their product to market. They work extensively with customers while working cross functionally with Product Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Corporate Marketing and Alliance Partners to successfully prioritize features and develop the products that our customers need.
Qualifications:
Required Skills
3-5 years of direct work experience as a product manager delivering technology products to market
Proficient in SaaS product delivery
Demonstrated success working and adapting in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
Preferred Skills
Fulltime MBA degree with a bachelor's degree in CS or similar
Experience or desire to develop and analyze markets
Strategic planning or analysis capability
Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
Prior experience as a software engineer
Experience in Information Security/Cyber Security
Experience working or building out cloud products
Dynamic speaker, comfortable in front of audiences of all sizes and backgrounds
Ability to influence people at all levels across a broad variety of job functions
Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of what's most important
Passion about technology and have a strong commitment to advance the state of security through virtualization
