Job Summary

The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for driving the clinical content strategy in support of Nuance’s market leading radiology reporting platform. As Artificial Intelligence (AI) is about to create massive changes in the practice of radiology, it is an exciting time to join this growing team and shape the future of radiology workflows and documentation. This role will work in collaboration with Research, Product Development, Professional Services, Marketing and Sales to define a roadmap and support initiatives that will drive adoption of structured reporting and introduce AI into routine clinical practice.

 

The Senior Product Manager will act as the business and clinical owner for reporting content, AI workflow integrations, and clinical decision support tools. This individual will need to stay abreast of the latest clinical standards and industry trends to define and execute this product strategy. They will ensure market needs are met with compelling workflows that deliver maximum benefit to radiologists and radiology departments.

 

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Define market requirements for clinical content delivery aimed at establishing a foundation of documentation efficiency and quality across a variety of radiology sub-specialties.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategy for clinical decision support and structured reporting standards with clinical societies, industry partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and build relationships with leading clinical and technical societies such as ACR, RSNA, HIE, etc.
  • Manage the day-to day interactions with R&D responsible for Clinical Language Understanding (CLU) solutions in radiology platforms
  • Remain current on radiology requirements as relates to quality initiatives and registry reporting requirements
  • Maintain a strong command of SNOMED-CT, RadLex, CAR/DS, CDE, coding guidelines, and standards for structured reporting and clinical decision support.
  • Provide clinical expertise in support of other product team members to ensure maximum clinical adoption and utility.
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-divisional coordination for the successful design, development, delivery, documentation, training, launch, sale, service, integration, support, and customer adoption of the clinical portfolio
  • Provide subject matter support to sales, partners and professional services during customer engagements.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Certified Radiology Technologist, or BS Nursing, Health Informatics or related fields. 

Experience: 8 years Product Management or equivalent clinical experience as radiology technologist lead or manager.  

 

Required Skills:

  • In depth understanding of radiology departments, workflows, and clinical documentation.
  • Understanding of the potential and vision of AI in the Healthcare Radiology setting.
  • Knowledge of SNOMED-CT, ICD-10, RadLex, LOINC and other clinical terminologies.
  • Exceptional writing skills including the ability to present and convey ideas to business and leadership stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with clients (internal and external), understand and gather requirements, and validate solutions. 
  • Experience working closely with partners in developing joint solutions.
  • Sound business & strategy judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position.

 

Preferred skills: 

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence / Deep Learning. 
  • Experience with FHIR Integrations.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with cross functional teams of clinicians, product managers, consultants, delivery staff, and engineers.
  • Strong broad expertise in training and presentations to a variety of clinical and technical audiences.
  • Experience as leader or member of inter-departmental team with action plans and deliverables.
