Product Managers are all builders at heart — people who like to bring concepts to life that make the world better for our users (customers or internal staff). To be an excellent Senior Product Manager, you need to be ready to master many skills — most critically, working with people, and attention to detail. So, you need to be a ‘people person’ to love this job, with a desire to get into the details. You need to love solving problems and overcoming the many hurdles that will be thrown in your way. You need to care about creating the best possible experience you can for our customers within the time, resources and scope you have. You need to champion simplicity over complexity, performance over features, and customer value over internal wishes. You need to work in partnership with finance, operations and other parts of the business to create solutions that help us make our people’s lives easier, and help us gain a better view on our customers’ needs. You need to be deeply comfortable with ambiguity.
