The Role:

As the Senior Manager for Product Quality, you will be leading strategic and operational initiatives aimed to assure the quality, safety, and integrity for all brand products. You will lead a team focus on ensuring that products are designed and manufactured at the highest quality standards.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Effectively communicate quality direction, policy, and procedures throughout the organization, as well as the supply base.
  • Establish oneself as a product expert within the cross functional team with a solid understanding of manufacturing, testing and industry trends across the current assortment of product categories.
  • Lead the restructuring of bills of materials, materials specifications, configuration management for products in close coordination with manufacturers.
  • Lead the implementation of Thrasio’s Quality Management System (QMS), quality manual, quality policies, and procedures.
  • Drive the implementation of quality assurance programs/initiatives aimed to assure Product quality.
  • Lead the resolution of product failures by working proactively with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to assure timely and appropriate closure.
  • Support strategic sourcing projects for existing and new products. Proactive involvement in product development and sourcing to influence decisions and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with various external and internal stakeholders including Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Quality Assurance, Legal Compliance, Product Launch and Brand Management Teams
  • Manage Quality Assurance and Sourcing personnel in the US, China, and other countries.

What You Bring To The Party:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical/Materials Science/Manufacturing/ Industrial or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university is a must
  • 7 years of progressive experience in quality management for wide variety of consumer products (household, medical, cosmetics, toys, electronics, textile, etc.), technical sourcing
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge of Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing setting with special emphasis on GMP and ISO standards. Ability to support GMP and ISO audits.
  • Ability to read and interpret industry standards, BOM and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative focus and ability to work successfully across functional areas.
  • Experience with sourcing and manufacturing in best value countries i.e. China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Mexico, etc. is preferred
  • Strong quantitative skills with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills to interface effectively across the organization
  • Problem-solving capabilities with ability to deliver results for multiple projects on time
