Summary:

Acquia is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management with experience and passion for building great teams and products. To be considered a strong candidate you must have a proven track record of building and leading world-class product teams through one or more of the startup, introduction, hyper-growth, and maturity stages of the product life cycle. You are an articulate and seasoned product leader with a strong foundation in SaaS businesses. You inspire the entire organization with your market and customer knowledge, product vision, and infectious can-do attitude. You thirst for customer interaction and take pride in your interviewing and storytelling skills. You obsess over customer problems and relentlessly pursue ways to create more value. You have deep analytical skills and rely on data and customer conversations to help make informed product decisions. You are a natural mentor and understand the importance of continuous learning for yourself and your team. You are accountable for the successful delivery and operational excellence of your products. You are never satisfied with the status quo and always pushing yourself and your team to raise the bar.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product line strategy and evangelize the product vision to customers, partners, employees, and investors.
  • Create and manage the 18-month product strategy and quarterly product roadmaps that balance short and long-term initiatives to deliver against our growth plans
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and user experience teams to define and develop best-in-class product experiences
  • Develop KPIs including north star metric, usage and growth metrics, and quality benchmarks to measure and track product performance and success
  • Demonstrate a customer-driven mindset by participating frequently in customer conversations and ensuring ongoing customer feedback and validation
  • Lead the development of innovative packaging and pricing for new and existing products
  • Collaborate closely with Product Marketing in all activities related to launch of new products and features
  • Inspire the Sales, Customer Success and Professional Services teams with your vision, market knowledge, and executional abilities.
  • Lead financial planning & analysis on activities such as investment cases, bookings targets, margin analysis, and monitoring the health of the product line
  • Assess current and emerging technologies and market/industry trends in order to inform platform strategy
  • Recruit and retain “A” players and inspire your team with genuine enthusiasm and passion 

Skills:

  • Proven skills in stakeholder management and internal evangelism
  • Pro-active, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude
  • Minimum 8 years Enterprise SaaS product management experience
  • Ability to create strong working relationships with engineering, marketing, sales and finance
  • Strong ability to work well cross-functionally on a personal level with executives and individual team members
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven product decisions
  • Exceptional customer interviewing and presentation skills
  • Natural mentorship abilities and desire for continuous self-improvement
  • Proven skill with the Agile/Scrum model
  • Proven ability to establish clear priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing and leading high performing teams
  • Experience with customer-related projects with an understanding of how customers think about software purchasing decisions and pricing
  • Pro-active, independent thinker with high energy/positive attitude
