Overview /

The Product Solutions Engineer at Numerated will work in a growing multidisciplinary product and engineering team solving diverse problems in the FinTech and banking industry. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for building and configuring our expanding product line on the Numerated platform. You will work with senior members of the product organization to understand the business domain and product requirements, then implement these new product offerings on the Numerated platform. You will also be involved in the launch process, helping to get both our internal staff and external clients comfortable with new products and existing product feature enhancements.

We’re looking for a self-motivated individual with a startup mentality: the ability to rapidly pick up new required skills and be proactive when it comes to project execution.

Essential Responsibilities /

• Builds and configures business banking products on the Numerated platform using a variety of technical skills, including JavaScript, JSON, SQL, REST APIs, HTML, and CSS
• Builds and designs the components that comprise the bank product definition: portal experiences, application forms, JSON-based rules engine configuration (for deciding and scoring applications), workflow process and experience, integrations)
• Understands product requirements and identifies appropriate solutions with existing systems/platforms
• Works independently designing and developing new bank products
• Works on high priority projects and is comfortable with meeting aggressive timelines
• Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects and presents findings/recommendations to management
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies

Education Requirements /

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS (Management Information Systems), CS (computer science) or a related business/technical field preferred

Work Experience Requirements /

• 2–5+ years of experience as a developer, implementation engineer, technical product lead, QA, customer support or hand on experience working with product development 
• Exposure to a variety of technologies, including database design and web application development
• Familiarity with agile software development in JavaScript and Python are preferred as well as cloud platforms (AWS a plus)
• Ability and drive to deliver on time while working in a semi-autonomous environment
• Willingness to learn to work with the tools and solutions selected by the team
• Insatiable curiosity to understand and improve the Numerated suite of products and the platform
• Creativity with the ability to think quickly and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and provides understanding of project related information to any audience
