As a SharkNinja Product Owner, you will drive technology innovation in SharkNinja’s mobile applications. You will help create the long-term strategy, vision, and roadmap, with a high degree of ownership over the critical features and mobile experience for our customers.

This role is inherently cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, design, analytics, robotics, and executive teams to set technology strategy and then define and prioritize features. You'll bridge technology and business, engaging with matrixed teams while driving the internal stakeholder and partner engagements necessary for timely releases of our mobile apps.

As a Product Owner, your role will be to take business requirements and convert them into mobile features and products. You will track capacity and workload to inform the work to be completed in each development cycle and keep internal stakeholders informed on progress. You’ll be responsible for driving key features as new capabilities are enabled on Apple and Google’s mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Calculate capacity and workload within the context of development cycles and report out to internal stakeholders, including executives.
  • Work with PD to prioritize features and right-size development cycles based on capacity, adjusting goals or requirements as needed to hit release dates.
  • Within the context of the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter product roadmap break the vision into epics and stories and prioritize and own the backlog(s) for your dedicated engineering team(s).
  • Partner and collaborate with business leaders to develop strategies to meet program demands as the program evolves.
  • Adapt and improve the process within a fast-paced and dynamic system
  • Lead teams in a fast-paced agile environment, running and participating in key agile ceremonies, such as backlog refinement, standup, demos, retrospectives and sprint planning.
  • Train, coach, and evangelize Agile and Lean practices to minimize waste and maximize speed of value to customer/business: user-centric design, design thinking, MVP and closed-loop feedback-driven iteration, hypothesis/outcome focus.
  • Work closely with engineering and UX to own and dive deep into backlogs, defining “done” and technical details.
  • Maintain competitive and marketplace awareness via research, patterning, and 3rd-party analysis of current best-in-class and emerging/advanced techniques, within and beyond robotics to identify ways to differentiate our solution.
  • Effectively explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, while also translating long term customer and business needs to technical teams.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven management of complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions.
  • Strong project management affinity and willingness to work closely with existing project teams for cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of agile development practices, methodologies, and tools. Direct hands-on experience with grooming product backlogs and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the agile software method.
  • Strong understanding of testing methodology including integration of testing into the development process.
  • Strong working knowledge of resource management practices.
  • Familiarity with the hardware development lifecycle and hardware+digital/software integration and best practices.
  • Ability to translate situations in the digital practice into laypersons' terms for executive consideration.
  • 2+ years working in mobile app development + deep knowledge of iOS and Android platforms.
  • Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous software coordination in a connected product environment preferred
  • CSPO or equivalent Agile Product Owner certification
  • 3+ years working with IoT or robotics
  • Bachelor's degree with a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience and ability to work effectively with remote teams
