You'll have an opportunity to be part of our dynamic, strategically focused, innovative, and inclusive Enterprise Technology Platform Transformation Organization that is leading MassMutual's multi-year digital platform transformation.  As part of this transformation, we are building a team of talented, innovative, collaborative, and inclusive Policy Management & Experience Product Owners (PO), who will drive innovative and cohesive experiences for our clients, financial professionals, and operations on our most strategic platforms and products. 

What Success looks like:

  • The Policy Management & Experience Team, wants PO team members who demonstrate accountability, agility, a balance of both technical and business acumen, as well as dedication to being inclusive colleagues, excellent communicators, and collaborative teammates. As a PO on our team, you will work across the Enterprise with business and technology partners to create, drive, and execute strategies resulting in cohesive experiences. This work is highly visible with broad and deep scope. POs will be aligned to one or more experience domains with broad scope – spanning multiple users (customers, financial professionals, and operations, etc), strategic platforms, and channels (web/mobile/operations etc), across several complex insurance and financial services business lines (ie Life/Annuity/Disability etc).

What your Days and Weeks will look like:

  • Drive and be responsible for aligned domain strategy and execution plans for a product or product workstream. Build towards a cohesive user experience for new and migrated business on our strategic platforms including intersections across surrounding channels/platforms (ie-web/mobile/operations, etc) for customers, financial professionals, and operations

  • Complete comprehensive capability mapping across Financial Professional, Customer, and Operations experiences that span multiple business domains and user channels (web/mobile/operations etc) and several highly complex insurance and financial services products features

  • Demonstrate deep understanding of the domain product backlog and drive priorities through data driven insights that maximize the product value to end users 

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, technologists, and other stakeholders to ideate and innovate around experience problems that will result in improved efficient business processes and interim options for non-automated transactions and experiences

  • Actively participate in or lead Agile ceremonies, ensuring experience is documented and prioritized appropriately

  • Drive toward, achieve, and proactively communicate meaningful measurable key results and outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Business Consultant, or similar role

  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies

  • Proven history of delivering software products and experiences that delight users and solve business problems

  • Experience delivering results while navigating highly complex matrix relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly, and appropriately handle sensitive information

  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced demanding environment

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business and technology to influence outcomes

  • Ability to lead by influencing and collaborating with others instead of using authority

  • Demonstrated technical and business acumen, as well as, agility and resilience with changing business priorities, and strong follow through

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Financial Services, FinTech, InsurTech, Life Insurance and/or Annuities, and/or Disability is highly desired

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Communications, Finance, Business, Computer Science or related field

  • Experience with Confluence and Jira to plan and organize tasks, workflows, etc.

  • Experience in a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Business Analyst capacity

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a rapid and iterative development environment

  • Exposure to SaFe Agile Framework preferred

Salary Commensurate to Experience:
80,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual
