Catalant helps the world’s leading organizations get from strategy to execution faster. Our Platform empowers organizations to work with greater agility to accelerate growth, drive efficiency, and rapidly innovate.

Trusted by more than 30 percent of the Fortune 100, the Catalant Platform enables business leaders to organize and gain visibility into mission critical work, access and dynamically deploy both internal and external resources, and track the speed, quality, and impact of work to drive better business performance. Access to our robust Expert Marketplace of over 55,000 independent experts and 1,000 boutique consulting firms helps organizations fill in critical capabilities and capacity gaps on high-priority projects.

Our investors include General Catalyst, Highland Capital, GE Ventures, and Greylock Partners.

We’re looking for curious, scrappy, talented people with a bias for action to join our team. Your next big thing is already here.

As a core member of the product marketing team, you’ll work hand-in-hand with Catalant’s VP of Product Marketing to develop, deploy, measure the impact of, and iterate upon Catalant’s core strategic messaging. In this role you’ll master Catalant’s messaging — including the research, concepts, and strategy that underpin it — and partner with teammates across the business to ensure that the right message is delivered to the right audience at the right time.

The role is inherently cross-functional, sitting at the intersection of sales, product, and marketing. For example, you’ll:

  • Partner with Demand Generation, Content Marketing, Field Marketing and other teams to co-develop messaging and content (derived from the core messaging) for digital campaigns and live events that help generate leads and accelerate the sales pipeline;
  • Partner with Sales to develop high-quality collateral for current and prospective customers, manage Catalant’s sales enablement software platform, and gather key messaging data and feedback;
  • Partner with Product Growth and Product Management to ensure that our messaging is effectively imbued upon different touchpoints along the user journey, new platform features are successfully launched, and data-driven market insights are used to inform product roadmap decisions.

Most importantly, you’ll be a mission-driven, entrepreneurial self-starter who is willing and able to tackle a wide variety of initiatives, workstreams, and projects that call for critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of and empathy for the challenges and opportunities that our customers face.

What you’ll do

  • Become an expert in and steward of Catalant’s core strategic messaging and positioning, and a trusted voice on messaging questions across the business
  • Partner with Sales and Design to develop and launch world-class sales collateral (presentations, video, etc.) that solve for different customer needs at different stages of their buying journey
  • Partner with Content Marketing, Business Transformation, Sales, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Design to bring our customer stories to life by creating highly usable, digestible case studies in various formats
  • Create and contribute to the creation of thought leadership assets — like presentations, blog posts, videos, and more — in support of cross-functional leaders and on your own behalf, in partnership with Content Marketing among others
  • Manage our sales enablement software platform (Highspot) and surface actionable, data-driven insights on collateral usage and prospect engagement
  • Partner with Professional Services, Sales, Product, and other teams to develop RFP and RFI responses and software implementation guides and materials as needed
  • Work closely with Demand Generation, Content Marketing, Field Marketing, and other teams to develop contextual messaging and content for digital campaigns, company communications, and live events
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on Catalant’s evolving market conditions and competitive landscape, and deliver actionable analysis and insights to our Sales, Product, and Professional Services leaders
  • Contribute to the creation of our go-to-market Playbook, which includes core messaging, distilled account strategy, sales process, and more
  • Partner with Sales and Learning & Development to ensure quota carriers (and other go-to-market team members) are effectively trained and up-to-date on the latest messaging and sales enablement tools

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of product marketing, content marketing, demand generation, customer marketing, sales, product management, consulting, and/or other relevant experience, with a demonstrated track record of success
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional customer/client-facing PowerPoint skills
  • Experience working in an enterprise B2B software company preferred but not necessary for the right candidate
  • Experience with tools including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Camtasia are a plus but not required

What You’ll Need to Succeed

Critical Thinking

  • Be willing and able to learn quickly, adapt to new insights, and incorporate new learnings and insights into ongoing and future work
  • Take disparate, large amounts of information and draw conclusions, based on your understanding of the content and context of a given situation, the source of the information, and your thorough understanding of the concepts touched upon
  • Passionate about understanding and empathizing with customers, including the conditions, opportunities, and challenges they face as individuals and organizations
  • Deeply understand Catalant’s historical success, drivers of ongoing evolution, and vision for the future, along with the opportunities and risks as we push forward

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Collaborate and influence the thinking on strategic, creative, and technical matters of importance to the business across a wide variety of functions
  • Give and receive constructive feedback from colleagues, with the ability to not only respectfully disagree, but also to be open-minded to consider unexpected conclusions
  • Work effectively with a diverse set of internal stakeholders, including Sales, Product Management, Business Transformation, Professional services, executive leadership, and more

Communication

  • Communicate abstract business and technology concepts and communicate them cleary in written, visual, and oral communications, in partnership with Design, Sales, Product, Business Transformation, and other marketing functions
  • Distill research, insights, and various forms of observations and feedback into expertly communicated insights and useful marketing assets
  • Thoughtful but action-oriented work style — e.g., listen to various stakeholders, identify problems to be solved, and propose and execute (or contribute to the execution of) solutions

Integrity

  • Deep pride in work that results in production of error-free, world-class deliverables
  • Dependable enough to be trusted to do what needs to be done, including (and especially) tasks that others might deem to be ‘below’ them
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects aimed at competing priorities of varying importance at any given time, while managing your own time effectively

Alignment with our cultural values

1. Be excellent

  • Do you take deep pride in creating things that compel people to think differently and take action?
  • Do you have a growth mindset?

2. Be a force multiplier

  • Are you comfortable and willing to work with a lean but growing team that's on a big mission with aggressive goals?
  • Are you willing and able to give and receive real-time feedback?

3. Be audacious

  • Are you able to adapt quickly to new insights and willing to let go of older but better known ideas?
  • Are you able to create assets that cut through the noise and change the minds of some of the senior-most, busiest executives at the world's biggest companies?

An Insider's view of Catalant Technologies

How does the company support your career growth?

Catalant always has my needs and career growth top of mind. There's constant collaboration between my manager, my team, and myself when determining what to work on next to make sure it aligns with both the company's goals and my own career goals. I don't think there has been a time where my growth hasn't been taken into consideration.

Danny

Sr. Software Engineer

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

I try to interact with as many colleagues as possible across functions and levels, whether virtually or at events, to learn about their roles and where our paths may cross. I message that while I'm the company lawyer, I'm also happy to get involved in matters unrelated to legal if I can add value or be a sounding board. My door is always open!
