Product Manager
We are looking for a product manager to play a leading role in defining and designing products that will help realize our product vision, develop our product roadmap, and work with our engineering and customer-facing teams to expand our product portfolio. This multidisciplinary product leader will have a passion for executing our vision for making gathering spaces more intelligent and secure and who will partner with Evolv’s research team, engineering, sales, marketing, and our customers to accomplish the following:
- Serve as product champion, providing insight and direction during complex project development phases
- Own the entire product development lifecycle for assigned solution offerings
- Understand and have a contemporary view of the market needs, technology partners, approaches and product requirements
- Work with the CTO and Engineering leadership to identify foundational technologies for new products
- Develop and communicate product requirements and use cases, and work with the technical team to ensure products reflect the market needs and are attacking specific client pain points
- Ensure we develop solutions that work for a breadth of users
- Initiate and own key partner relationships including OEM partners
- Ensure that the right feature set is defined and developed, and our end-product is priced and packaged correctly
- Develop a go-to-market plan, work with all Evolv functions to execute, and take responsibility for analyzing and managing potential partner relationships
- Work with our management team to make sure Evolv delivers a high-quality, leading edge product that solves one of the most difficult challenges of our time
Requirements
You possess a unique blend of big picture vision, technical savvy, and industry experience. You have at least five years of experience working as a product manager or in customer success, working with engineering teams and driving whole-product strategy. Applied experience and exposure with the ecosystem in physical security, biometrics, identity & credential verification, video analytics, digital applications, and 3rd party integrated offerings is a plus. You have strong customer relationship skills, which enable you to understand customers’ needs and objectives and translate them into product features and requirements for solving complex business problems. You have a strong technical background, with the ability to discuss technical issues and identify solutions that meet product requirements. You have exceptionally strong analytical skills and a natural predisposition toward data-driven decision making. You have a strong understanding, and interest, in the ecosystem provider landscape. In addition, you can demonstrate the following:
- Strong track record of successfully bringing technical products to market and taking complete ownership from ideation thru introduction and market success
- Sufficient understanding of the technology to be able to anticipate customer requirements, technical challenges, environmental constraints and operational needs
- Proficiency in translating technical concepts to business-oriented audiences and vice versa
- Unwavering customer and end user empathy
- Attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to apply experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- An infectious enthusiasm for the product and influence on the energy and pace around it
- Active learning mentality and technology curiosity: understanding implications of new information for both current and future problems and decisions, embracing change, and understanding new concepts
- Four-year degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field, or equivalent combination of qualification and experience
- Existing relationships with security systems integrators, channel partners and customers is a plus
