Rapid7 is looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented, data-driven product manager to join our SOAR team and lead our strategic integration and ecosystem efforts. The ecosystem is the cornerstone of any SOAR technology and delivering valuable content to our customers is of paramount focus. This individual will be responsible for planning, prioritizing and executing on delivering the on key use cases that can accelerate a customer’s security operations and help them gain extreme efficiencies by leveraging third party technologies and automation workflows.
As a Product Manager in the Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) space, you’ll be joining a high-performing, innovative team of designers, engineers, product managers, and customer-facing leaders. Our mission is to make automation accessible to close the security achievement gap and calm the chaos in the IT/Security industry.
On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be working closely with our customers and engineering development teams to understand, design, and deliver new integrations and automation workflows.
Responsibilities
Collect integration requests from customers, technology partners, and internal teams
Engage with users and engineers to deeply understand integrations use cases and clearly define the desired outcomes
Prioritize development efforts to maximize impact among new and existing customers
Coordinate integrations development efforts with go-to-market teams to deliver valuable integrations content effectively
Validate adoption and efficacy of integrations with data-driven analysis
Communicate the status of the integrations backlog, WIP, and go-to-market efforts throughout the business
Previous experience as a product manager, product engineer or both is highly valued, but if you have strong cybersecurity domain knowledge (having previously worked as a security practitioner, technical account manager, sales engineer, or similar role), experience in the software industry, AND you are well organized, extremely customer driven, and really looking for a challenge as you grow to the next level -- this might be the perfect role for you.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a product manager of a software product with platform or integrations experience
BS or BA degree or equivalent work experience (computer science background is a plus)
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused to create, manage, and drive the product roadmap.
Strong understanding of API fundamentals
Strong analytical and decision-making skills to prioritize activities, issues, and business use in a fast-moving continuous delivery environment
Strong presentation and communication skills to drive team alignment and build cross-functional relationships.
Some travel may be required to Rapid7 offices to work with UX, Dev, and Security Practitioner partners, as well as some industry conferences.
