This is a career-defining opportunity: we are looking for a Product Manager to help us bring to life our vision of a world where privacy technologies allow every organisation to unlock the analytical power of data while respecting the privacy rights and expectations of individuals.

You will determine the future of bringing our leading-edge privacy technology into the most advanced data and cloud platforms available on the market (AWS, GCP, Azure, Confluent, Collibra, Cloudera, Snowflake, Databricks to name a few). You will shape a strategy that will ensure that Privitar remains ahead of the trends and innovations in the data engineering and analytics world so that we can build the right products that will solve the future needs of our customers. You will translate your vision into a product strategy and product roadmap and work with our engineering team to deliver it.

As a Product Manager, you will be at the centre of everything that happens at Privitar: you will be the bridge between customers, sales, marketing, services, customer success and engineering. You will be involved in the high-level strategy as well as the detailed design and product delivery of our data platforms integrations.

During this journey you will discover how the biggest organisations in the world use their vast amounts of data, how they architect their data lakes, on the public cloud or on-premise, batch and streaming, powering real-time dashboards or large-scale historical studies. You will help them infuse their data analytics efforts with privacy-enhancing technologies, to safely unlock the value of data that would otherwise be almost impossible to use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with Chief Data Officers, Data Architects, Data Engineers at our customers to understand market trends, data architecture patterns and customer use cases
  • Develop and communicate the Privitar strategy and roadmap for modern data platforms
  • Develop expertise in modern and future data engineering and analytics platforms
  • Work closely with development teams throughout the agile development cycle
  • Collaborate with our partnerships team by engaging with adjacent data engineering and analytics software vendors, to prioritise and define joint value propositions and drive technical integrations
  • Collaborate closely with Privitar’s marketing, sales, services and customer success teams on roadmap and launches
  • Write content and develop sales and marketing collateral

Requirements

  • Ability to dig deep into a very technical space and learn quickly
  • 5+ years of experience working on software and technical products
  • 2+ years of experience working as a software product manager
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong academic background, preferably with a degree in a technical discipline

Desirable experience & skills

  • Experience working with data analytics platforms and technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NiFi, and more
  • Knowledge of and experience with the services offered by the major public cloud vendors, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience building highly scalable and performant data processing services
  • Experience in a B2B environment
