Product Manager, Marketing Technology Solutions
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Product Manager, Marketing Technology Solutions to join our Marketing Platform Strategy & Experience team within the Marketing and Brand's Marketing Analytics and Customer Insights team. In this position, you'll sit at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Platform Strategy & Experience, you'll be responsible for understanding and translating Marketing & Brand strategy and priorities into Marketing functional needs across our centers of excellence and marketing channels.
With a passion for delivering customer value and exceptional results, you'll be responsible for vision-setting, alignment, and prioritization of initiatives within Marketing and Brand's marketing technology eco-system. You will work with key marketing stakeholders to support their overall strategy by collaborating with the Enterprise Technology Experience (ETX) group, and the Head of Marketing Platform Strategy & Experience to help build a marketing technology vision, strategy and roadmap, to enable growth, user engagement, efficiency and scale. With stakeholders and our technology team, you'll develop and maintain a robust roadmap that will execute against business goals and objectives to deliver maximum marketing value through technical solutions. With a passion for delivering value and growth through marketing enablements, you'll align our portfolio to our strategic objectives, identify emerging marketing capabilities, articulate and advocate for improvements, and provide subject matter expertise to help drive implementation with IT. As Product Manager, you'll leverage your talent for storytelling and collaboration by articulating what success looks like and inspiring others to turn that vision into reality.
The Team
The Marketing Platform Strategy Experience Team is dynamic, collaborative, powerhouse of a team made up of Product Managers, Portfolio Managers and Marketing Tools and Technology operations. We're enthusiastically evolving our strategy, scope and team to support the growing needs of MassMutual. The Impact:
As a Product Manager, you will work with marketers, strategists, technologists, and vendors to evaluate needs against the scope and performance of our marketing technology ecosystem. You will be responsible for supporting site platforms for marketing activities, campaign enablement, and identifying opportunities for integration with key sales and client management technologies. Key to the success of your role will be the ability to act as a translator between these stakeholder groups to define business problems, translate them into technical needs, and facilitate the understanding of data as an enabler in solving business problems. Through your role as a translator, you will also bring visibility to and raise adoption of Marketing Analytics and Customer Insights' capabilities, including Customer Journeys, Research, Data, Analytics, and Insights.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain and socialize a view of Marketing & Brand's marketing technology eco-system
- Evaluate and align marketing technology stack to the sales funnel, identify gaps and redundancies
- Understand performance of marketing technology eco-system against goals and objectives and proactively make recommendations to improve experience and the delivery of value
- Align with stakeholders to learn the business, develop and grow an understanding of client and market needs, preferences, and priorities
- Understand business and end-user needs and envision technical and user experience solutions to fulfill those needs
- Evaluate the benefits of different options to optimize value creation
- Prioritize, plan, communicate and monitor the activities needed to deliver solutions
- Engage with stakeholders regularly to monitor and share progress
- Advocate for stakeholders with cross-functional teams, vendors, and implementation partners
- Collaborate with data and analytics peer groups to ensure that the MarTech and data ecosystems are well connected, and make data-driven decisions to drive user adoption, and optimize business value
- With Data and Analytics partners, measure performance against established objectives and key performance indicators that deliver on agreed upon business results
- Refine governance, process, and engagement model to improve partner satisfaction and maximize marketing value
- Stay abreast of technology trends and industry best practices and influence others to seek best-in-class solutions/technology to resolve business challenges
- Establish trusted relationships with cross-functional teams, vendors, and implementation partners
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years within the marketing technology domain with a track record of successfully planning and implementing platforms and solutions
- Demonstrated experience with implementing technology and partnering with both the business and IT
- Experience in creating and optimizing processes
- Understands and can translate the technical domain
- Strong data-driven mindset and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing/emerging business priorities
- Endlessly curious about how emerging technical trends can translate into marketing enablement solutions
- Outstanding relationship and influence skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Value and demonstrate emotional intelligence in collaboration and interactions with team members, internal partners, and third-party service providers
- Self-motivated and highly autonomous, with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent active listening and written, verbal and communication skills

The Ideal Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in financial services, specifically insurance and investments
