Indigo is revolutionizing a budding industry where agriculture meets technology - through the use of data-driven insights, natural microbiology, innovative digital technologies and partnering across the supply chain - we are ultimately cultivating a scalable climate solution and enhanced ecosystem that beneficially serves farmers, consumers, and the planet alike.

We're a global agtech unicorn startup with a unique mission reflected in our teams - from multigenerational farming experts, who understand the land as though it were an extension of themselves, to cutting-edge technologists and scientists on the frontier of innovation.

Indigo is extraordinary, and we owe that to the people who make up our community and enable success through the di

versity of thought, experience, background, perspective, race, sexuality, gender, age, and everything else that makes a person uniquely themselves. Connected by a common vision and empowered by diversity, we aren’t ordinary, and neither are you.

As a Product Manager for Market+, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with many teams across the organization to define a best-in-class software offering. A deep understanding of customer problems and a sound technical acumen are critical cornerstones of what makes our product team tick. In this role, you will lead the development and release of features that drive liquidity and will contribute to the overall success of a multi-sided Market+. A role on our team will include everything from market research & data analytics, to getting into the nitty gritty with your agile squad.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop deep understanding of existing and planned platform solution and capabilities
  • Achieve familiarity with our overall technical architecture and where business logic lives (including back end services, API layer and the UI)
  • Evaluate 3rd-party vendor solutions and propose partnership/integration strategies
  • Analyze competitive landscape and assess areas where Indigo can provide unique value
  • Collaborate with multiple teams across the Indigo organization to:
  • Determine the short and long-term vision for your segment of the product
  • Define business impact of delivering on that vision
  • Align product priorities with business objectives
  • Create and prioritize use cases
  • Understand market competition and product positioning
  • Assume primary Product Ownership responsibilities (roadmap, user stories, prioritization, stakeholder buy-in)
  • Participate in agile software product management and development best practices; champion those best practices across the organization
  • Ensure that voice of the customer is a key component in prioritizing your work
  • Establish clear and concise communications channels with cross-functional stakeholders (i.e. Offering, Engineering, Marketing) to provide visibility into the plans for your product
  • Establish trust and ongoing communication with internal & external customers
  • Facilitate feedback on key decisions
  • Clearly articulate product value and your plans for increasing that value to senior management

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years Product Management Experience
  • Proven track record of building and delivering excellent customer-facing software products
  • Bonus if first-to-market and/or enterprise software
  • Experience working directly with software engineering teams in an agile/lean development environment
  • Active Communication skills (communicating out and listening successfully)
  • Intrinsic nature to drive business outcomes utilizing data for decision making

Indigo is committed to living our values, specifically “creating a work environment where everyone feels respected, connected, and has opportunities to learn and grow.” As part of living our values, we strive to create a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone feels they can be themselves and has an equal opportunity of succeeding.

An Insider's view of Indigo

What projects are you most excited about?

Our mission is to provide agronomists with unbiased real-time data we are collecting across thousands of acres at the ground level and from space. It's such a thrill to be working on the data and analysis perspective of this massively cross-disciplinary team that helps agronomists initiate data-powered conversations to provide substantial results.

Jyoti

Principal Data Scientist

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Since joining Indigo in 2018, I’ve launched our agronomist drone program, program managed an international soil health innovation competition, evangelized for our geospatial data analytics team, and built a decision-making tool to help growers begin their regenerative journey. The only thing that limits your career at Indigo, is your own curiosity.

Alison

Sr. Product Manager

How does the company support your career growth?

Since joining Indigo in 2018, my manager has always provided me with great feedback and room to focus on growing my skills from a dedicated API Engineer to having a strong full stack foundation. Simultaneously I’ve been encouraged to pursue a Tech Lead Manager role; a position I now occupy thanks to my hard work and the company's trust and support.
