Product Manager, Advanced Marketing

As the Product Manager of Advanced Marketing, you will contribute to building and defining the product roadmap for our Marketing Tech Platform. This person is comfortable working across a wide range of stakeholders with the ability to translate business asks into technical road map that will deliver the requisite value. This person will use a combination of data analysis, stakeholder inputs, and industry instinct to identify the highest value priorities for the organization. They have a technical acumen that allows for a thorough understanding of the fundamental technologies behind Marketing Technology & Automation and are comfortable with Marketing best-practices in the digital and mobile space. They will work cross functionally alongside technology, production and other stakeholders to deliver sustained excellence and reliability within our analytics infrastructure and management platform. They will also closely monitor the KPIs of their products, and consistently optimize over time.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire product development cycle from strategic planning to launch and post-launch optimization.
- Work with stakeholders to understand marketing tech needs and leverage them to drive the long-term vision for the marketing technology platform.
- Continuously maintain a product roadmap for a full stack team of developers & production team members.
- Identify, analyze and prioritize new feature requests.
- Create business cases to support prioritization decisions.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and other stakeholders to break down high level projects into product specification documents with supporting user stories and high-level acceptance criteria.
- Working closely with engineering to continuously represent the voice of your key stakeholders during the design/development process.
- Become the expert in the platform and tools that deliver Advanced Marketing.
- Facilitate alignment among executives and other stakeholders as needed.
- Collaborate with Production and Development teams to drive a completed final product.
- Effectively balance the often competing demands of innovation, quality, operational improvements, and speed to market.
- Measure the performance of each feature launched, and help set KPI metrics for the teams.
- Define annual OKRs and multi-year product vision for elements of product ownerships.
- Establish domain expertise on the latest innovations in the space.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience.
- 3+ years of relevant technical product management experience.
- 2+ years managing a major business platform (data, CRM, AdTech, MarTech,etc.)
- Comfort collaborating across multiple departments, including Technology, Data, Acquisition Marketing, and Lifecycle Marketing.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Comprehension of Marketing Technology and the tools required to execute those responsibilities well.
- Strong comprehension of Marketing Automation best practice. Segmentation, triggers, and campaign orchestration in particular.
- Strong comprehension of A/B, MVT and MAB testing.
- Comfortable with web and mobile technology.
- Comfortable with digital marketing with a focus on email, push, pop and other owned channels.
- Comfortable with digital analytics, web analytics and app behavioral analytics.
- Comfortable with using pivot tables and Tableau (or similar tool) to create a report or analysis.
- Experience with agile software development methodology and working with engineering and data teams on technical projects.
- Proven track record of driving cross functional projects from inception to completion.
- Demonstrated knowledge of both business and technology.
- Extremely rapid learning curve, and ability to quickly create value in almost any situation.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or above (technical major preferred)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with coding or scripting.
- Experience with large, complex data-centric projects.
- Professional experience managing an internal service or product for a cross-functional group.
- Experience with program or project management.
