Product Engineer
Our innovative R&D team is looking for a Product Engineer to contribute their electrical engineering expertise to our rapidly growing Hardware team. We are scaling quickly and need more brilliant engineers to help accelerate our progress in making everywhere safer. Ideally, this person has a proven track record, acan-do attitude and is hungry to be a part of our fast-paced agile development environment.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with Design Engineers in system bring-up, design validation, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and system performance
- Triage, identify, analyze and troubleshoot problems pertaining to the design and assembly
- Bench analysis of electrical circuit failures.
- Provide technical support to internal customers to address critical issues and device failures
- Provide feedback to engineering design team to improve next generation design
- Perform EFFA (early field failure analysis) on shipping product while working with engineering and manufacturing
- Evaluate and qualify alternate sources components
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware validation, test engineering, sustaining engineering and/or customer support.
- Prior experience in electronics industry
- Hands on experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, digital multimeters, protocol analyzers
- Prior experience with lab validation in one or more of the following areas: high-speed serial interface (MIPI/DP/USB/PCIE), memory interface (DDR/SDR/LPDDR3/LPDDR4), RF validation (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular), Power supply (AC/DC and DC/DC switchmode power supplies, LDO), Display, Camera (optical and electrical), and Audio
- Abilities to debug circuit boards, read circuit schematics and use Altium Designer tool are required
- Excellent problem solving skills and effective communication skills
- Proactive attitude towards finding and driving problems to closure
- Technician level (soldering, cable assembly, mechanical) skills are a plus
