The Lead Product Manager Conceives of, develops, delivers, and manages products for customer use. The Lead Product Manager works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

 

Responsibilities

 

Our mission in High Performance Engineering is to advance Humana’s engineering practices with best-in-class DevOps and Agile capabilities to accelerate speed to value with quality. On a daily basis this role will embed with our Engineering Platform Innovation Agile team within High Performance Engineering to listen, research, design, and create new solutions for the biggest problems Humana’s software engineering teams face. We develop platforms to build, deploy, automate and more, so that engineering teams can focus on their customer problems. In addition, this role will be part of a Product Owner community to share knowledge and best practices to continuously improve their skills and competencies.

 

The Lead Product Manager works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.  The Lead Product Manager Leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, monitors efficacy of products and uses customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

               

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of Product Owner/Manager and/or Technical experience
  • Experience documenting requirements
  • 2+ years of project leadership experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in an Agile environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience and knowledge of DevOps
  • Agile or Product certifications
