The Lead IAM PAM Product Manager is responsible for all aspects of PAM product delivery and services that include health check assessments, strategy, and implementation engagements. This includes the build, configuration, and architecture of one or more privileged access management platforms, such as CyberArk, Beyond Trust of Azure PIM including integral technology components such as password vaulting, privileged session management, application to application authentication, SSH key management, etc. Customers include the end user community, as well as the business application and process owners. The Lead IAM PAM Product Manager works with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, business teams and partners to ensure the design, development, and deployment of PAM solutions that enforce applicable organization security policies and access management requirements. The Lead must demonstrate an understanding of Privileged Access Management and integration with broader security solutions, such as Identity & Access Governance, SIEM, etc.

The Lead IAM Product Manager works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. They will also be responsible for executive briefings, product roadmap presentations, leading meetings and defining the PAM product roadmap to create successful launches. They will need to exercise independent judgement and decision making on complex issues to determine the best course of action, and serve as an advisor/coach for other Product Managers.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Lead IAM Product Manager will manage all aspects of delivery of IAM Privileged Access Management (PAM) product capabilities and services. In addition, the Lead

  • Acts as the product portfolio’s leader within the company. 

  • Develops the business case for new products, services and capabilities, as well as improvements to existing products within the portfolio. 

  • Coordinate with IT and business portfolio owners to ensure appropriate resource and financial commitments, including portfolio funding. 

  • Establish, align on and communicate product and portfolio roadmaps and OKRs. 

  • Drive development of dashboards and reports using analytics, metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress. 

  • Identify and quantify opportunities for roadmap prioritization. Assess tech debt as part of the development backlog and manage accordingly. 

  • Ensure backlog is visible, is prioritized based on user and business value, is constantly revisited, estimated & prioritized. 

  • Operate two-in-a-box with Product Owner to lead cross-organizational product team, including developers, testers, architects and project managers. 

  • Collaborate intra-team as well as with broader internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, business teams and partners. Share information and results effectively and succinctly with right level of information detail. 

  • Achieve favorable outcomes when there is conflict of interest, both internally and externally using data, technology and market knowledge. 

  • Establish and maintain key supporting vendor relationships, influence vendor roadmaps and incorporate into internal product roadmap. 

  • Develop intelligence about user needs and behavior patterns. Form and present empathy maps and clearly identify user profiles. Map features to target personas and value. 

 

 

               

Required Qualifications 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize what matters and manage multiple streams of work at the same time.  

  • Ability to set and track product performance goals. Use and present usage and performance data that influence product direction and development.  

  • Deep understanding of agile development processes; lean startup mentality. 

  • Ability to lead & oversee the design and development of PAM solutions that enforce applicable organization security policies and access management requirements. 

  • Understanding of tracking intra product dependencies, system integrations, interfaces.  

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of technical experience, or equivalent and 2+ years of product manager or Product Manager experience. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field 

  • 8+ years of technical cyber security experience 

  • Prior experience in Privileged Access Management (PAM) 

  • Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM 

  • Experience with complex technical environments 

  • Experience in Process Automation
