Head of Product Management
The mission of the Product Management (PM) team is to serve as the gateway between FFs operating and engineering departments, driving business value by focusing on automation and process efficiencies to improve the experience of our external (small businesses and channel partners) and internal (team members) users. In addition to being technology focused, our PM team is also heavily operationally driven and strategically oriented providing a great opportunity for someone looking for a broad and impactful role.
As Head of Product, you will lead the Product Management efforts at Forward Financing. You will play a vital role in our organization, working to fulfill the mission of the PM team. You will report to the VP, Technology, and collaborate regularly with Leadership Team. You will be able to make an immediate impact on our organization, playing a critical role in shaping the evolution of our fast-growing and dynamic company.
As Head of Product, your role will be focused on leading and developing a high-performing team, aligning product development with company goals, executing on the roadmap, and fortifying a high-performing results-driven culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Team Development:
- Inspiring team through strong leadership and product development expertise
- Training and coaching product managers/owners on best practices, developing the individual strengths of your team
- Developing process, tools and metrics to streamline and measure team effectiveness
Product Leadership / Execution:
- Collaborating with the VP, Technology and Leadership Team to align company strategy and goals with a product vision
- Communicating company strategy, product vision and complex technical matters to a variety of constituents (product team, key stakeholders, leadership, and engineering)
- Executing on goals from concept to launch by driving results through effective monitoring, measuring and communicating progress across all constituents
- Delivering quality features on time and on budget
- Enabling a proven process for product delivery best practices (roadmapping, planning, research, UX, etc)
- Minimizing schedule risk by foreseeing and addressing obstacles proactively
- Continuously improving existing features for improved health and innovation
- Weighing in on long term architecture and software design decisions

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-relevant field; MBA preferred
- 8+ years work experience in Product Ownership/Management (proven background building products across the full SDLC)
- Proven leadership ability (leading, growing, mentoring high-performing teams)
- Experience advancing an organization from start-up phase to institution (experience with Agile transformation is a plus)
