About the position:
BookBub is looking for an entrepreneurial product manager to join our team and act as a catalyst to accelerate member growth of our book discovery platform. The person who fills this newly-created role will become a key member of the Product team, and work collaboratively across Product & Marketing in scaling up a consumer experience that already engages millions of passionate readers every day.
Here’s a sample of what someone can expect to accomplish in their first year in this position:
- Identify the most impactful new features and levers for growth, and then turn those insights into specific, actionable, near-term initiatives that accelerate user acquisition
- Significantly increase our SEO effectiveness, viral efficiency, and onboarding conversion rates to drive traffic and new members
- Establish a strong partnership with Marketing and other teams to enable BookBub to hit quarterly growth and user acquisition targets
- Become an indispensable Product team member that other teams come to rely on and trust
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates for the position will have most of the following experience and skills:
- 2+ years of consumer product management experience in a startup or similar high-growth environment, with a demonstrated track record of driving significant user adoption and growth
- Excellent analytical instincts, deep intellectual curiosity, and a strong belief in making data-driven decisions
- A well-honed ability to assess customer needs and preferences through user surveys, A/B testing, market research, data analysis, and rapid experimentation
- Past experience executing on multiple growth strategies, such as feature development and funnel optimization, SEO, referral programs, viral features, or app store optimization
- Ability to distill complex concepts into easily digestible information and drive stakeholder alignment
- The ability to work independently, self-manage, and both set and meet ambitious goals
- Bachelor’s degree; a management and/or computer science degree a plus
