We believe that a great product starts with a great team. We are looking for a leader to work with the VP of Product and the existing team to help us design and build the Product team and culture of Privitar’s future. This is a player-coach role that will include People Management, Product Strategy, continuously improving our Product Delivery processes and acting as the Product Manager for an individual development team.

Privitar is a high growth, VC-backed, technology leader building data privacy software to enable analytics and machine learning. We work with large organisations worldwide in financial services, telecommunications, pharma and government, enabling them to get the most out of data without compromising on privacy and security.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Chief Data Officers, Chief Privacy Officers, Chief Compliance Officers, Data Architects and Data Engineers at our customers to understand market trends, data architecture patterns and customer use cases
• Work with the VP of Product, the Product team and other leaders across Privitar to continuously improve our Product Delivery process
• Lead, develop and hire a team of capable market-driven Product Managers 
• Work with the CTO, VP of Product and VP of Engineering on defining the team structures, KPIs and goals that will realize our Product Vision
• Work with Product Managers, Engineering and Customer Experience to develop key Product Strategy initiatives and bring them to the Product Council to drive investment and other strategic decisions
• Act as the Product Manager for one development team, developing the product roadmap and orchestrating product delivery end-to-end

• 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Development and/or Product Marketing, primarily in Enterprise B2B and SaaS
• 5+ years of experience managing Product Managers to a high standard
• Experience in growth and hyper-growth startupsExcellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with public speaking at town halls, webinars and conferences
• Ability to learn technical domains incredibly quickly
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Commercial, as well as technical, mindset
• Low ego, team player

Desirable experience and skills

• Experience working with Data Engineering and Data Analytics platforms and technologies (ex. Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, NiFi)
• Experience with the service offerings of the major public cloud vendors (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure)
• MBA or experience in strategic planning
