Airfox is looking for a Director of Product Management to join our growing product team in downtown Boston and manage the Credit team. Working under the Chief Product Officer, you’ll oversee the growth of the Product Management team, ensuring that squad breakdown and engineer-to-product ratios are satisfactory. You'll also be the Product Owner of the Credit team, managing a variety of user-facing features and assist in the development of improvement to existing functionality -- all for our Android and (soon) iOS apps. You will work closely with the CPO, CTO, and VP of Engineering to manage timelines of new initiatives, communicate new strategic goals to the product and engineering teams, and run departmental meetings.

Under the role, you'll be expected to:

  • Ensure that cross-squad projects are being managed properly, working with multiple product managers, project managers, and the Executive Team to ensure timely execution of key deliverables.
  • Oversee hiring and growth efforts for product owners, technical product managers, and product interns.
  • Ensure that agile methodologies are being followed by all product feature squads.
  • Promote learning sessions and coaching sessions by and for the product team.
  • Oversee shared internal tools, working hand-in-hand with Engineering team to develop infrastructure projects that facilitate the autonomy of squads.
  • Act as the Product Owner for the Credit Squad, owning end-to-end delivery of the product. You'll be tasked with tracking relevant metrics and gathering constant user feedback, optimizing and improving current features as well as prioritizing new ones.
  • Coordinate with tech leads, engineers, UX designer, UI designers, QA Engineers, and User Success agents within your squad.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience overseeing a technical product or project team.
  • Proficient in SQL and data analysis tools.
  • Experience working with data-driven organizations that use A/B testing tools and continuous iteration.
  • Very strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities (this really happens).
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented. No email is lost or deadline is missed.
  • A team superstar, working seamlessly with others and diffusing heated situations.
  • Able to create technical, detailed, well-written documentation for both engineering and business.
  • Mobile app development experience or exposure.

Benefits

  • Convenient location, one block from South Station, in the heart of Boston
  • Join a small (7-person) team with the opportunity to own parts of a new product process
  • Great company culture with an open door leadership and a focus on personal growth
  • Casual work attire
