Raptor Maps is a fast-growing, venture-backed, MIT-born climate tech startup. We serve tens of thousands of energy sites around the world with a dedicated and passionate team committed to having impact through work and advancing the renewable energy economy.

Now we're expanding into grid security. Raptor Comply is a new product targeting the energy compliance market across the full energy mix - solar, wind, hydro, natural gas, and battery storage. We're scaling this product and need a highly driven, entrepreneurial Product Manager to establish foundational go-to-market infrastructure and growth motions.

Our Mission

When compliance and IT/OT teams spend most of their time hunting down evidence, they're not getting ahead of risks. And that gap shows up in incidents and findings that can cost up to $1.8M per day.We built Raptor Comply because you can't transform what you can't protect. Every new solar array, wind farm, hydroelectric dam, and battery installation expands the attack surface. Integrating thousands of inverter-based resources (IBRs) creates grid interconnection points that didn't exist in traditional generation. Grid reliability builds public confidence. One major cyber incident could stall permitting and policy support for the renewables we need to deploy.

Raptor Comply

Securing the grid isn't separate from building it - it's foundational to scaling it.

We kept hearing the same story from compliance teams: they spend the majority of their time on administrative tasks instead of managing risk. NERC programs are manual and fragmented. Evidence scattered across spreadsheets and emails. Manual uploads consuming hours weekly. "Automated" GRC systems that send reminders while someone still has to gather everything.

So we built Raptor Comply. Evidence generates automatically as teams work. Access requests create audit trails. No chasing IT/OT. No interrupting business SMEs.

Built from deep engagement with compliance teams and a decade working with generator owners in the solar industry, we're now bringing that operational expertise to the full energy mix.

About This Role

This is a contract role for an autonomous growth professional excited about making a big impact in the energy industry. We need someone with energy, creativity, and the ability to execute. We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments, and is passionate about building from scratch.

You'll work directly with the Director of Product to validate product-market fit, own the onboarding and activation experience across all user types, and build the foundational systems that will power Raptor Comply's growth. At our stage, Product is owning GTM as part of product validation and to ensure tight iteration cycles. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity for commercial experience as a product manager.

You will help build on an AI-native operating model, getting hands on with automating workflows across discovery, implementation and GTM. You will likely also get set up to ship your own code using our agent-augmented software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include any of the following. This is a broad remit reflecting the early stage of the product.

Product Feedback and Operations (40%)

Dial into the voice of the customer. Uncover insights that directly shape what we build next.

Synthesize customer feedback from sales calls, onboarding sessions, and usage dataIdentify patterns in feature requests, objections, and activation barriers

Present insights to Director of Product for roadmap prioritization

Build operational infrastructure: customer success workflows, support documentation, training materials

Track product-market fit signals (NPS, retention cohorts, usage patterns)

Product Growth and Activation (40%)

Building the growth engine: discovering what drives adoption, what causes drop-off, and what makes users successful.

Own onboarding and activation experience across all user segments (self-serve, pilot customers and enterprise)Drive users to first value quickly after signup

Design and run experiments to optimize conversion from trial to paid

Build in-product education experiences that help users discover features matching their needs

Track and improve key activation metrics (time-to-value, feature adoption, engagement)Collaborate with marketing to align in-product experiences with lifecycle campaigns

Marketing Execution and Demand Generation (20%)

Experimenting with go-to-market motions to find what drives sustainable growth.

Execute digital marketing campaigns: ads (LinkedIn, Google), content creation, email campaigns

Build and optimize conversion funnels from awareness through activationTest growth channels and document what works

Create content targeting compliance professionals (guides, comparison sheets, blog posts)

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

Growth experience - 3-5 years at product-led growth B2B SaaS companies, with hands-on experience running experiments and optimizing funnels

Data-driven approach - comfortable with analytics tools, A/B testing, conversion analysis, and cohort tracking

Self-sufficient execution - you can write ads, build email campaigns, create slide decks, run demos, and close deals

AI-forward product development awareness - you understand evolving best practices in AI-native product development and see this as an opportunity to build lean, AI-powered operational models from the ground up

Former founder or first PM hire at an early-stage startup

Product Manager who owned growth, activation, or PLG at a 0-to-1 company

Growth marketer or demand gen professional who transitioned into product

Consultant (MBB, boutique) who went startup-side

Sales or customer success professional with strong product instincts

Nice-to-Haves:

Knowledge of energy industry, utilities, or critical infrastructureUnderstanding of compliance, cybersecurity, or GRC software markets

You want a traditional PM role focused only on feature specs and engineering coordination

You need a structured environment with established processes and clear playbooks

You're uncomfortable with sales conversations or customer-facing work

You want to focus purely on product strategy without hands-on execution

What Success Looks Like

You'll know you're succeeding when:

New customers activate quickly and achieve first value within their first week

Conversion rates from trial to paid improve through systematic experimentation

Growth channels are tested, documented, and scaled based on performance data

Customer feedback consistently informs product roadmap decisions

You've built repeatable playbooks that can scale beyond your individual effort
