Leidos Health & Civil Sector is seeking a Program Financial Analyst Principal to support the Military & Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program. The MFLC program generates more than $200M in annual revenue and provides critical in-person counseling services to active-duty military personnel and their families. The program supports a workforce of more than 1,100 licensed counselors located across the United States and international military installations.

This is a highly visible hybrid role that combines deep government program finance expertise with process automation and innovation leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in government contracting finance along with the technical aptitude and creativity to modernize financial operations through automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. This position will play a key role in driving operational transformation across the program finance organization, with a focus on reducing manual effort, improving efficiency, enhancing reporting accuracy, and advancing the adoption of emerging technologies and scalable automation solutions.

*REQUIRES U.S. CITIZENSHIP with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the overall financial management and reporting of MFLC program finances as it relates to EACs, customer invoicing, subcontractor tracking and reporting, travel, and material tracking/reporting.

  • Identify, design, and implement initiatives to streamline and automate manual finance processes, improve workflow efficiency, and reduce administrative burden through the use of automation technologies, reporting tools, and AI-enabled capabilities.

  • Lead the implementation and adoption of AI-assisted development and automation practices across the finance team, leveraging emerging AI tools to accelerate delivery, reduce repetitive work, and improve the quality, consistency, and scalability of outputs.

  • Support ad hoc financial reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive-level presentations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience in program finance, financial analysis, project control, or government contracting.

  • Strong finance background in government contracting, including experience supporting multiple contract types and a thorough understanding of government financial reporting requirements, compliance standards, and contractual processes.

  • Must have experience using one or more of the following: Power BI, Power Automate, Claude Code, Chat GPT, and other AI tools

  • Proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools, and AI-enabled platforms. automate manual finance processes

  • Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and implementing automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency within Program Finance or related business functions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a proactive, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate operational challenges into actionable financial and technical solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of Leidos financial systems, such as CostPoint, Cognos, Fusion, and Insight.

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Pay Range:Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
