This is an opportunity to lead through craft as a Principal Product Designer shaping Zillow’s enterprise rental experience. You’ll define the design vision for dashboards, data visualization, and AI-powered workflows that simplify complexity and deliver clarity to our partners. As a senior individual contributor, you’ll influence outcomes across design, product, and engineering by setting the quality bar, driving systems-level strategy, and ensuring our tools deliver guidance partners can trust and results they can scale.
You Will Get To:
Own the end-to-end design vision for enterprise dashboards and analytics tools, setting a new standard for clarity and trust in partner decision-making.
Shape and embed AI-enabled experiences that transform data into actionable guidance and outcomes, making AI a core design consideration alongside usability and accessibility.
Extend and govern the enterprise design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accessibility across Rentals tools.
Translate complexity into clarity through data visualization and systems frameworks that simplify partner workflows.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Research to align on strategy, execution, and innovation.
Serve as a craft leader, raising the quality bar and inspiring excellence across the Rentals Enterprise Design team.
Drive design outcomes that directly contribute to partner adoption, retention, and business growth.
Collaborate across disciplines to solve meaningful challenges in how property managers and operators attract renters, optimize leasing, and meet occupancy goals.
10+ years of professional product design experience, with at least 5 years working on enterprise, B2B, or complex system design.
Expertise in designing dashboards, analytics interfaces, and data visualizations that drive decision-making and action.
Demonstrated ability to independently initiate and lead complex, cross-functional programs—setting vision, defining frameworks, and driving execution to measurable impact.
Strong end-to-end design skills: from discovery and research through prototyping, testing, and shipping high-quality experiences.
Experience with design systems at scale, including creating or governing reusable patterns, components, and frameworks.
Systems thinking with the ability to model complex workflows, dependencies, and integrations across products.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working alongside Product, Engineering, and Data Science partners.
Curiosity and openness to exploring AI-enabled workflows and emerging design practices.
Ability to mentor and inspire other designers through craft leadership, even without direct management responsibilities.
