YOUR IMPACT

We are seeking a highly organized, data-driven, and process-oriented People Ops Generalist to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency of our core HR processes, maintaining data integrity in our HRIS, and providing direct HR Generalist support to the CFO organization. The ideal candidate has deep experience with Workday (WD) and a passion for turning operational excellence into tangible business results.

HR Systems, Data, and Process Management (Operations)
  • Workday Expertise & Data Management: Serve as the central Point of Contact (POC) for all Workday inputs and data submissions. This includes executing complex data management tasks and ensuring high standards of data integrity within the HRIS.
  • Process Documentation & Improvement: Lead the effort to identify, document, and standardize core HR processes. Proactively identify inefficiencies and gaps within existing workflows and propose and implement improvements to drive efficiency.
  • HR Data & Analytics: Partner with the People Leadership Team (PLT) to implement and ensure the regular delivery of key people team metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Establish and document the recurring cadence for US-required reporting and, in partnership with HRGs, identify and document non-US required reporting to be included in the Rhythm of the Business (ROTB).
  • Operational Projects: Build a clear RACI matrix for Leave of Absence (LOA) processes and lead the effort to clean up and organize the company's internal HR knowledge center (HR Hub). Additional projects to be determined throughout the term.
HR Generalist Support (CFO Organization)
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management: Provide dedicated HR Generalist support to the CFO organization, including managing employee relations issues and guiding managers through the performance management lifecycle.
  • Talent Management: Co-facilitate talent calibration sessions for the CFO organization, ensuring follow-up actions and development plans are executed.
  • Compensation Cycle Support: Support the annual Merit review process for the CFO organization.
  • Engagement & Culture: Lead the review, analysis, and action planning based on the Engagement Survey results for the supported client group.
  • Change Management: Support key change management initiatives and drive clear, proactive communication within the CFO organization to ensure successful adoption.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Must have significant, hands-on experience with Workday (WD), specifically in data management and data input/processing.
  • Proven ability to document and optimize complex business processes.
  • Experience in a generalist capacity, supporting employee relations and performance management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting a specific, non-HR client group (e.g., Finance, Tech).
  • Familiarity with building RACI charts and managing internal knowledge bases (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, etc.).
  • Experience supporting annual compensation (merit) and talent review cycles.
  • Experience in SaaS and/or the tech industry; start-up experience a bonus

If you like growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
