For Those Who Work At Home, MichiganJob SummaryThe Operations Specialist II is a mid-level role responsible for managing insurance compliance for a designated portfolio of commercial mortgage loans. This position requires independent analysis of insurance documents, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and oversight of escrow disbursements and casualty loss claims.
Essential Functions
- Analyze insurance policies, appraisals, and operating statements for compliance
- Maintain accurate insurance data in the servicing system
- Manage escrow disbursements and force-placed insurance processes
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage for non-escrowed loans
- Administer casualty loss claims, including inspections and disbursements
- Communicate with borrowers, agents, and insurers to resolve issues
- Collaborate with internal departments to address discrepancies
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- OR equivalent experience (required)
Work Experience
- 1+ years of commercial property insurance or related experience (required)
- Legal document review and interpretation (required)
- Commercial loan servicing or insurance agency experience (preferred)

- Manages servicing tasks for commercial mortgage portfolios.
- Oversees disbursements and force-placed insurance for escrowed loans.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base hourly rate in the range of $20.19 - $30.77 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
