About this roll* (Responsibilities)
The Trade / Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing all inbound and outbound shipments including, small package, freight and ocean. Coordination cross functionally to ensure inventory needs are met in a sustainable and timely manner. Additionally, this position will be responsible for ensuring compliance guidelines are followed in accordance with global trade laws.
Daily management of logistics, distribution centers, transportation and clearance.
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Troubleshoot and manage international freight transportation
Document procedures and processes related to logistics
Work with cross-functional teams to set timeframe guidance for material replenishments
Coach and train operations staff on best practices, i.e. AES filings, Commercial invoices, etc.
Enforces compliance with safety programs and policies to ensure safe operations and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Owns US and International Order-to-delivery process and ensures fast, efficient, and accurate order-to-delivery execution
Keeps track of delivery times, delivery exceptions, transportation costs and efficiency
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Travel may be required as necessary in an expanding business.
Do you have the right ingredients*? (Requirements)
7+ years of distribution and logistics management experience in a manufacturing environment required
Demonstrated communication skills representing the company externally as well as clearly defined communication skills internally
Knowledge of the domestic transportation industry including DOT and HAZMAT compliance regulations and international import/export legislation. Must be able to effectively troubleshoot any international exceptions/issues
Knowledge of encrypted products, regulatory compliance restrictions by country and related government reporting
