Capital One is seeking to build an organization to help externalize our internally-built products focusing on cloud data management. As a Capital One Tech Risk Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.
In the Tech Commercialization Risk and Governance role, you will be responsible for supporting the successful launch of new software products internally and externally. You will have a deep understanding of security, compliance, and operational standards and guide key stakeholders through compliance risks and recommended remediations. You will also be a subject matter expert for innovation teams to understand how to develop features tailored to enterprise domains, highly regulated fields, etc.
General Responsibilities
Serve as a compliance and risk Subject Matter Expert for Tech Commercialization and its cloud governance products
Maintain extensive knowledge of Capital One security, compliance, and operational standards (focus on OFAC/Sanctions/NIST/SOC2/SDLC)
Develop knowledge of Capital One operational teams and processes across the organization (ES Risk/Cyber/Compliance/Audit/Privacy)
Guide internal team members and advisors to complete security-related legal, compliance, and other operational tasks tied to product launch
Work closely with product team developers to launch new product features that meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements
Develop new and refine existing standards and processes to meet security and compliance needs
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 4 years of risk or governance experience
At least 4 years of compliance, audit, or remediation experience
At least 2 year of project management experience
Preferred qualifications
3+ years of consulting experience
1+ year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Experience with industry-specific compliance requirements (e.g. HITRUST, PCI-DSS, GLBA, Reg E)
PMP certification
