Role Summary
Magna New Mobility is seeking a Senior MES Integration specialist to be responsible for aligning technology solutions with business strategies around integration of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) with manufacturing floor systems. With a total experience between 10-12 years, they will be working with senior management to drive Standardization of the integration efforts with the sites engineers and system owners. Acts as the principal designer for major systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. As a member of the Magna New Mobility team, they will help build a set of best practices and standards while working with site and vendor resources to identify requirements, trends and new capabilities. This role will be hybrid in our Boston office or can be based in Troy, Michigan.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for being the bridge between various MES systems, ERPs & cloud.
• Thorough understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Serve as technical expert or lead projects/programs and technical staff to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems at the division/business unit.
• Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact.
• Drive integration of the native MES systems with cloud.
• Partner with the functional groups within the organization to communicate and clarify business needs, contribute to development of long-range system plans, and ensure products and services are aligned with business needs.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Process Control Engineering, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer engineering. Equivalent experience is defined as six years combined experience in the above areas.
• 5-8 years of combined experience in Process Control System.
• Relevant experience with different ERP tools.
• Experience with AWS & other cloud offerings.
