Responsibilities:

  • Outline clear deliverables for software, training, marketing, and any other relevant functions
  • Simplify complex protocol language into material that our growers and agronomists can easily execute
  • Ensure 90%+ of compliance and verification processes are successful
  • Write a compliance strategy plan; by the end of 2019, scour markets and policies within relevant global markets and prioritize protocols that we should build into software
  • Identify all carbon credit opportunities in the US and globally:
    • Prioritize protocols based on factors including launch timing, data requirements, and verification costs
    • Build and execute project plans to enable growers to comply with carbon protocols
    • Build specifications and requirements to data
  • Contribute to development of training materials for agronomists and account managers
  • Define a clear path to create two new carbon credit protocols with major registries
  • Play a crucial role enabling Indigo’s carbon credits trade and efficiency
  • Collaborate with agencies to flesh out operational aspects of protocols
  • Organize, implement, and lead a cross-functional team to begin building the carbon credit protocols

Qualifications:

  • Has created and/or interpreted many carbon credit protocols, including those from major registries
  • 5+ years in carbon credit markets
  • Has led carbon credit verification processes before
  • Technical/quantitative education
  • Degree in environmental science, sustainability or business, nice to have
  • Ag experience not required
  • Experienced to work with local authorities, national government bodies, consultancies, academic institutions
  • Boston based, willing to travel

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
