The Role:


As a part of the Supply Chain Ops team, the Specialist, Inventory Control will work with our fulfillment partners to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity across our network. This role focuses both on proactive inventory reporting and exception management. They will take part in internal and external projects that impact our omnichannel distribution network. They must have the ability to communicate efficiently with our global partners and demonstrate high analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for regular 3PL inventory physical counts and reconciliation. Manage and execute as the process leader of a high-quality physical inventory count to ensure system accuracy. Lead the pre-count planning preparation, communication with all parties, partnership with inventory coordinators, and post-count validations.
  • Analytical expectations include managing inventory exceptions and root-cause analysis to resolve issues, while providing solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Report on inventory control metrics and work with key fulfillment partners to ensure SLA adherence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in purchasing, supply chain, logistics, engineering, etc. 
  • 5-7+ years of overall experience within supply chain managing logistics.
  • Experience with high volume procurement and freight management across multiple forms of transportation and consolidations 
  • Prior contract negotiation both domestically and internationally.
  • Experience and understanding of logistics and transportation modes (i.e.: ocean imports, 3PL, FTL, LTL, Rail, Airfreight, Parcel), flow of goods in supply chain (i.e.: transload, Cross Dock flows).
  • Extremely organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thrives in a fast pace environment.
