The Senior Sourcing Manager, Contract Manufacturing and Category Sourcing will provide cross-category contract manufacturing and strategic sourcing support to Thrasio’s Due Diligence teams. The position will report to the Associate Sourcing Director New Product Introduction and Program Management. The role will serve as the Central Sourcing interface with the M&A cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of any Sourcing requested tasks.

This position will be the focal point for Sourcing, leading and coordinating a variety of projects by leveraging the capabilities of incumbent portfolio of suppliers and category expertise within the Global Category Sourcing teams. This position will partner closely with the Category Sourcing teams to understand the incumbent supplier capabilities, category strategies and provide insight to them on on-going brand acquisition requirements. This could range from quick turn around of quotes to potential consolidation effort estimations and lead-times to execution of Sourcing opportunities as identified by the Due Diligence teams.

This is an exciting, dynamic role in which you will work closely with the Supply Chain Due Diligence teams and the Global Category Sourcing teams and create a robust process to provide world class Sourcing support to the new brand acquisition process and ensure seamless integration with current Sourcing roadmaps and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the list of all incoming brand acquisitions and map them to the Sourcing category structure to ensure the appropriate Category lead is ready to support
• Be the central resource for the Supply Chain Due Diligence team to fully educate the Sourcing teams on the new brand suppliers, any existing commitments to the suppliers, pricing risks, contracts being inherited and any plans for new product launch with the incumbent supply base with Thrasio will need to follow through on.
• Take the lead in providing Sourcing support for any new categories currently not managed by the Category leads.
• Understand from the Supply Chain Due Diligence team any Sourcing requested tasks and ensure they are executed in a timely manner
• Create a Sourcing plan for each brand acquisition in partnership with the Due Diligence lead such as need for future capacity expansion, migration to preferred suppliers, risk mitigation and create a database to capture the plans by brand and assign a priority and timeline for each project
• Ensure the Category leads are integrating these projects efficiently and based on the priority of the project, actions are being taken timely. 

What you bring to the party:

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering is required. An MBA will be a plus.
• 10 years in a global leadership role managing contract manufacturing, global category and strategic sourcing programs & teams for a variety of consumer products.
• Ability to work in collaborative, team environment; ability to cultivate and maintain effective business partner relationships through earned respect and trust.
• Ability to deliver multiple programs autonomously and successfully in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Broad exposure to a wide range of Hardline and Softline consumer product categories from electronics, kitchenware, cut & sew, home goods to sports and fitness is a plus.
• Have a working knowledge of Intellectual Property matters
• Strong analytical and communication skills required.
• A global citizen with outstanding people leadership across organizational levels, functions, cultures, and geographies
• Flexibility to travel 30% international and domestic
