TripAdvisor Experiences is seeking a Senior Supplier API Account Manager who has a strong understanding of API integration technology and can lead a team of Supplier API Account Managers (4+) to integrate new supplier accounts for the purpose of electronic communications between Experiences/Vacation Rentals and supplier reservation and software systems.

The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of how API’s operate and will be able to communicate effectively with suppliers and other system providers. Reports to the Senior Director, Connectivity & Attractions Tickets and will manage a team of Supplier API Account Managers. The candidate will work closely and provide guidance to their team members as well as interact with senior stakeholders within the business including development teams, sales, supplier support, and customer service teams.

A strong knowledge of API technologies including web service communication protocols SOAP and REST along with integration technologies such as XML, JSON, are fundamental to this role. The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator and who will manage large integration projects that will include the end to end process of collecting requirement, configuration details, expansion plans through to testing and monitoring the successful operations of the supplier connectivity platform. This role will be part of an existing team for a high profile product. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Be a major contributor to the overall success of supplier connectivity – both commercial, ticketing, and software systems
  • Collaborate with leadership to define the supplier connectivity integration strategy
  • Communicate program status to key leadership and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on strategy and actions
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership to design and implement processes for new supplier connectivity initiatives
  • Establish efficiencies to improve overall supplier API processes
  • Lead and mentor team of API Account Managers (4+) supporting both Experiences and Vacation Rentals API’s
  • Establish team goals and priorities and conduct regular team meetings, team member check-in’s and performance reviews
  • Develop and manage relationships with new supplier systems and suppliers to aggregate API specs, review specifications, and recommend integration approaches to the development team
  • Comprehend and communicate the Experiences/Vacation Rentals API specifications to all internal and external stakeholders, assist with technical questions, and manage integration challenges with internal and external stakeholders
  • Oversee and manage E2E QA testing on all new system and suppliers using the API

Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years IT support, operations or account management preferably with web services or similar B2B technical environment exposure
  • Strong knowledge of current travel technologies and/or attraction ticketing systems
  • Skilled in communicating with appropriate levels of detail to different audiences (both verbal and written)
  • Proven ability to facilitate discussions in person as well as via conference calls
  • Experience working in multi-channel, complex business environments
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize
  • Experience working in fast moving technology environments 
  • Previous external partnership management experience required
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborate with various teams globally
