The role of Senior Hedging Specialist will create strategies to mitigate Indigo’s hedging price risk and provide customers an excellent experience. This position will play a key role in strategic planning and working with various teams to align with grower satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure alignment of GCS metrics around customer satisfaction
  • Support the design and implementation of Portfolio Management and Grower Pricing order management systems
  • Meet with Account Managers and key members of Food and Fiber Team to align needs
  • Learn all aspects of current offers
  • Minimize fill times for grower orders
  • Help train growers and grower-facing Indigo teams
  • Conduct risk and trading efficiency analyses used to inform trading activities
  • Anticipate challenges in executing trades and regional risk differences that influence trading strategies
  • Understand and embody Indigo’s mission and core values

  • Strong phone communication with diverse audiences (farmers, internal teams, etc.)
  • Comfortable working with all market participants (including growers, buyers, and internal stakeholders)

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years professional experience
  • Experience managing risk exposure in commodity markets
  • Personal or professional experience with agriculture strongly preferred
  • Experience with at least one code/query language preferred
  • Understanding of physical grain markets
  • Exposure to Latin American agriculture markets preferred
  • Experience with international currencies preferred
  • Knowledge of international trading regulations preferred
  • Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese preferred

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
