We are looking for a Senior Director, Enabling Technologies to help us build a new generation of innovative products across our Shark range. We thrive on designing great products that delight our customers. Working as part of our Boston Headquarters, you will bring technical substance and inspiration to our creative efforts to deliver credible solutions populate our product road map.

Role Functions:

• Leads a team of experts in the origination of novel technologies for our future generations of products.
• Successfully develops multiple project teams of A-players, helping them to reach their full potential.
• Respected leader, takes overall ownership of technology development through conception, CAD execution, prototyping/ rigs and verification, whilst consistently working at pace & successfully develops team to do the same.
• Trusted decision maker, continuously evaluates and improves designs for efficient design, manufacturing improvements, increased quality and value to consumers.
• Applies sound engineering/product design standards to deliver real solutions, in the context of wider business requirements.
• Applies understanding & experience of high-volume manufacturing processes and materials to optimize designs.
• Communicates effectively and professionally with colleagues.
• Collaborates seamlessly with our U.S. and China based Product Development teams, multi-functional teams to ensure that great ideas make it through to production.
• Is highly influential at exec level. 

Requirements:

• Degree level technical qualification, ideally Product Design Engineering, Mechanical or Industrial Design Engineering.
• Typically 8+ years people management experience. Some experience of working in or leading Global teams is an advantage.
• 15+ years proven experience in Mechanical/ Product Design/ Industrial Design environment.
• Significant team management experience
• Experience in the consumer goods household appliance space desirable
• Experience in plastic manufacturing processes
• Experience of delivering real world technologies to market.
• Can motivate your team to identify, solve, implement and verify technical solutions autonomously.
• Flexible, collaborative & influential - these are key to success at SharkNinja.
• Positive, driving attitude with an inquisitive nature.
• Appreciation for electrical engineering, software and UX design beneficial but not essential.
