The Senior Desktop Engineer is a highly skilled individual with strong experience in implementing and configuring Microsoft SCCM (2012 & current branch), Software packaging (Wise Package Studio, App-V..), operating system deployment (SCCM and MDT), Advanced scripting (Power Shell) and Microsoft patch management (SCCM and WSUS).

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Architect for design and roll out of Windows 10 image, adhering to hardening guidelines
  • Implement a solution for offsite endpoint clients. This includes deploying an OS image, windows patches and software deployment.
  • Standardize end-point solution for our corporate users
  • Group Policy management
  • Package applications for distribution via client management tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Familiarity with disk encryption and AV clients
  • Demonstrates the ability to research windows platform-based solutions that result in the hardening of systems for a more secure systems environment
  • Participates in the evaluation of new hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure components
  • Provides 3rd level technical support
  • Provides technical guidance to IT organizations as required
  • Optimize system resources and improve overall system operations
  • Recommend areas where existing policies and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of design/engineering/architecture experience in end user computing technologies
  • 5 + years of experience with Systems Center Configuration Management (SCCM) and Microsoft deployment toolkit
  • Detailed knowledge of windows OS components and services
  • 2+ years of experience with O365 administration
  • 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Azure preferred
  • Experience standardizing Windows 7 and 10 for physical and virtual desktop environments.
  • Minimum 5 years system automation/configuration scripting including: VB/VBS, PowerShell, and/or other
  • Citrix MCS and PVS experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policy/SCCM/Intune
