Description

 

The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional performs analysis of business, process and user needs, documentation of requirements, cost/benefit analysis and translation into proper system requirement specifications. The Senior Business Systems Analysis Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

 

Responsibilities

 

The Senior BSA plays a key role in helping to determine the strategy and assessing capabilities to advance and improve Humana’s digital service experience. This is done through researching industry trends on leading digital experiences, analyzing Humana’s current state experience, and identifying opportunities to improve the processes and technology. The BSA will build business cases and estimate the value of solutions by working with key operational, technical and experience owners across the enterprise. 

  • Researches best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
  • Collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on improved customer experience, increased productivity and reduced cost.
  • Develop business cases to articulate needs for action and standing up initiatives
  • Document and assess current state and future state experience and processes
  • Assess impacts and alignment w/ department, channel, and organizational goals
  • Use data and insights to identify customer needs, pain points, and opportunities
  • Define outcomes that align to Humana’s and customer’s value
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business value
  • Tell stories with data/infographics
  • Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes.
  • Evaluates procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
  • Evaluates and defines systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.

               

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 or more years of Business Analysis experience
  • Experience building business cases and influencing decisions
  • Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Experience in problem analysis and process
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other Advanced Degree
  • Experience working with data (SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python)
  • Six Sigma certification
  • PMP certification
  • Demonstrated experience with process documentation and re-engineering
